I used F1 to save, F2 to switch state, and F3 to load state (I think... Something like that)
But I've told my PC that the file type that they save as should be opened as in winrar when double clicked, and that makes it a lot easier to rip from vram.
O:
I did not know about this.
Then again, I've only ripped from GBC/GBA like three times ever.

RE: Ripping Questions - Ultimecia - 06-19-2009

Some stuff can be ripped using PSicture, other PSX-VRAM is more recommended.

Hi, anybody know of any way to rip MAME sprites that are not NeoGeo or Capcom? Or at least an emu that has layer control. Thanks!

RE: Ripping Questions - Cheshire Mk-II - 06-22-2009

If you Googled it and didn't find it then it probably doesn't exist. Unfortunately there are a lot of games that use add-ons like that that can't be emulated since nobody has made an emulator for them. This is usually because there aren't enough games for the add-on for the emulator's creators to bother trying to emulate it.

RE: Ripping Questions - NewSprite - 07-08-2009

I apologize beforehand if this question/issue has already been covered, but I am not about to lurk through 18 pages of this topic to find it.

I have been trying to rip sprites from various SNES games for quite a while now and have been failing miserably so I am forced to inquire. Basically I'm using TileMolester and have tried various games such as Bubsy 2, Demon's Crest, and Super Ghouls and Ghosts. But whenever i open up the ROM file in Tile Molester and adjust the palette to the right colors the sprites never come out in full sprites like i see in videos or in tutorial topics (Believe me I have searched for hours.) Is this because the ROM files are compressed or are just stored badly? Here is an example.

RE: Ripping Questions - Deathbringer - 07-08-2009

Old console games don't store full sprites, they're stored as 8x8 pixel tiles. Those tiles are arranged and overlayed to form sprites.

And just so you know, if a ROM is compressed, you wouldn't see the tiles at all.
