If Konami gets a character it's either Snake is back, Bomberman since they now own the right to him, or Simon Belmont, or no body from Konami gets in.

Well, now you've made Link sad.
In all honesty I think the only color of the rainbow we haven't covered so far is violet. (Unless you consider Zelda to be purple, but I think she's more of a dark pink).
Anyways some interesting tidbits I've noticed from watching gameplay videos and commentaries on them:
- Super Sonic is apparently nerfed in the sense that he's now a lot harder to control. Apparently he gets to top speed a lot faster and it thus makes him a lot more unwieldy.
- Inversely, Pikachu's FS looks like it's a lot easier to use, and may also be faster.
- Link's FS will now send him flying off the stage if he misses.
- Greninja's recovery special looks like it works pretty much the same as Pikachu's; where you can get a second jump if you tap the joystick in a different direction.
- In Smash Run, if you die you lose half of your collected stats. Also there is at least one enemy that will instant-kill you if it catches you; you don't even get blasted away you just kind of get eaten. You can see it in this video around 4:10.
- The abilities you get in the lower screen during Smash Run are not the same every time. Unknown if we get to choose which ones we want during character selection, but for the sake of the demo at least it seems to be random.
- When Little Mac wins a match, you can see Doc in the background of his victory screen.

What I noticed about that Game and Watch is that he has no outline. However, I doubt that will be the case in-game, especially since outlines denote team colors now.
I'm hoping that sometime soon Sakurai might post some custom moves as Pics of the Day. Doesn't need to be the whole lot of them, just curious about them. And as I anticipated, they simply alter old moves into new versions, sans Mii fighters and Palutena.
So far each newcomer has been REALLY pushing the bar at being unique and interesting. It disappoints me when I see so much commentary downplaying certain newcomers when it is obvious from a design standpoint that they put a lot of effort into making that happen.
I'm just getting old I guess. XD

I'm not sure that's even his Smash model shown in the video there. I think it's meant to be a generic more traditional G&W character.

I didn't really think of that. I noticed that the model/animation was different, but I assumed it was a small redesign
