Perhaps because i'm using maya instead of blender, the rigs seem to be quite messy, not sure if it's the programs or just the rig itself but it's still great cuz i'm learning rigging right now. Give an example of what looks messy please so I know what is going wrong and which models. It should work between autodesk programs. RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection (Lissa Completed) - csjirt - 07-25-2018 Very good, good Job RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection (Owain Completed) - kurokairaku - 07-29-2018 As Promised, Owain is here. RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection (Owain Completed) - Toynota10 - 07-29-2018 Thanks! Owain's mah favorite from the Awakening crew. Think we could get Linde next? RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection (Owain Completed) - Mugendai - 08-03-2018 I appreciate all the other models being uploaded and I'm grateful Robin was uploaded, but, can we please get Lucina's promotion outfit? All her other outfits are available and that one isn't.. It's my favorite one. Give him time, this sort of thing is a lot of work. RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection (Owain Completed) - kurokairaku - 08-13-2018 I do have to apologize for my lack of work. A lack of drive and various other problems, ranging from financial stress to other worries made it difficult to work on things I plain ain't interested in doing. Worst part is I got myself interested in an entirely different project. To top it off I'll be beginning college soon. Its still a few weeks away but I'll find myself with less time than I used to have very soon. To compensate for my that, I decided to provide my dump of the models so for those who are capable but can't find a dump of both the main game and DLC. I will still do work on models if you commission request me, or if I find myself with time and nothing to do. I figured this is the most fair thing I can do, plus I don't thikn FeW will be receiving any more DLC's I think so its perfect time to leave. My Dump is organized by DLC, and base characters can be found in higher DLC folders. If you are for instance looking for Cordelia, use the files within DLC 003 or 004 if possible. They are the armorbreak updates so the armorbreak mesh's will have proper rigging. I understand, while this will be a lot harder without you, I at least appreciate you doing this for us and not leaving us hanging. Thanks for all that you have done, it means a lot. You got a bright future ahead of ya, so good luck in college and thanks for everything you've done! Looking forward to that new project of yours! Thanks to College coming up and other issues I will be taking it easy on stuff and working if I have been commission requested or if I plain have the time. Is animation ripping posible? RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection - Demonslayerx8 - 08-15-2018 Animation ripping isn't possible, sorry. These were my thoughts on the rig when i first opened it in Maya 2018, my opinions are coming from an animation background so i'm comparing them to the other animation rigs i use, also i'm using the Male Robin regular rig:(07-24-2018, 08:32 AM)skeptacles Wrote: Hey thanks for supplying the models with the textures and everything, really appreciate it! Perhaps because i'm using maya instead of blender, the rigs seem to be quite messy, not sure if it's the programs or just the rig itself but it's still great cuz i'm learning rigging right now. In Pic 1: -No nurbs controls so i had to click directly on the joints to move them which proved difficult since they were hidden inside the mesh. -Plus the naming conventions make it harder to understand what each joint is meant to be used for. In pic 2: -The root joint control positioning makes it harder to not click on it since it's intersecting with the other joint components and makes it equally harder to click the other joints since i have to aim carefully where i point which we don't want to actively do. In pic 3: -This ties in with the naming conventions again because there are joints within joints and joints by themselves, i can still somewhat guess what they could be used for but it'd be better if we can tell right away. In pic 4: -No skinning lol. All in all, i feel the rig could be improved by: -Attach external controls above the mesh for easy clicking and to avoid having to work directly with the joints itself. -Clearer naming conventions for each joint and what function they serve (e.g Left_FK_wrist_jnt). -Have the root control away from the main skeleton. For me i like to use a scaled up nurb circle , so it still serves well as it is but without the added risk of clicking it if i wanted to click the legs for example. -Hide the joints, animators don't like to see joints. -Having the skinning would be great. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Of course, since my purpose was to study rigging, i only wanted to get the mesh so in regards to that i'm actually really satisfied. I hope this was helpful to you! Once again thanks for supplying the models! RE: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) - Model Collection - Pichi-Hime - 08-24-2018 Sorry, I'm a bit confused on ripping the models myself. I downloaded Lucina's Great Lord file, dragged it into the ffsnt program, and got the asociated .smd and .ascii files, but now I'm confused on what to do with them, and the instructions in the OP are a bit confusing. Could anyone guide me to the next step in getting the model into Noesis/3DS Max? Could anyone guide me to the next step in getting the model into Noesis/3DS Max? I don't know anything about 3DS Max but to get them into Noesis you need the ASCII plugin to allow noesis to read them, you will then be able to convert them as you do any other model. What you need to do is go here: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=18042 Once you are there, scroll down and you'll find "ffsnt.rar", download that and then inside the zip file, you will find "fmt_xps_ascii.py", take that and drop it into the pythons folder that can be found in the plugins folder for Noesis. Once you've done this, Noesis will support ascii files. However, I will warn you, getting the models to the same quality as what Kuro has done is very hard as the mesh physics are a nightmare to deal with, I tried it and after a few days I gave up. I don't know if having 3DS Max makes it easier as I was working with Blender but from what Kuro has said, it sounds really time-consuming. |
