RE: Music Picks - Ton - 12-07-2009 That Wario song is hilarious. RE: Music Picks - Kitsu - 12-07-2009 @Ton, I think too many of those loop songs are too important to be just loops. Especially Dedede's theme. Most of them would do better as actual stage music, or as parts of medleys in stage music. Though I think Luigi's and Yoshi's fit perfectly. For Bowser, I think one of his Mario Party songs might fit better. Here are some other suggestions: Kirby: Kirby Super Star - Spring Breeze Ending Metaknight: Kirby Super Star Ultra - Rest Point (Helper to Hero) Dedede: Kirby Super Star Ultra - Revenge of the King Ending Just, not his theme song, because that's his theme song... Either Ike or Marth: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - Vow EDIT: Gary, you are awesome. That theme for Samus is great! EDIT: BTW, if I wanted to help out by doing some simple .org stuff, would it actually be helpful? .org is the file format used in Cave Story, so it's limited to mostly basic wave synths. RE: Music Picks - Ton - 12-07-2009 Fair enough. I don't like the idea of Bowser getting a hand-me-down franchise song for his loop though. Maybe the SMB1 castle theme? EDIT: I think Meta needs something a little more badass than that though. Any ideas for Gooey? Definitely should be something KDL3 related. RE: Music Picks - Crappy Blue Luigi - 12-07-2009 That would probably work. As for Mario, I suggest the file select theme from Super Mario 64, seeing as Brawl already remixed the SMW ending theme with the SMW title theme. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E163_5ZENqY RE: Music Picks - HyperSonic92 - 12-07-2009 (12-07-2009, 04:24 PM)Heat Miser Wrote: I think Meta needs something a little more badass. This Also why not have the theme in Luigi's mansion when you visit E.Gadd as Luigi's victory loop? RE: Music Picks - GaryCXJk - 12-07-2009 Actually, in that same song Ton provided for Bowser, I did hear a small part that really sold me. I'll work it as soon as I make time for it. Also, for Yoshi's theme, I'm planning on involving my brother, Anthony "DarkGenic" Kertopermono, not really all that known now, but you could check his portfolio site, Stylish Sexy. He's also a great musician, and is a better guitar player than I am. RE: Music Picks - Ton - 12-07-2009 Good call, CBL. The two games have rather similar feels. RE: Music Picks - Crappy Blue Luigi - 12-07-2009 If we're using something from KD3 for Gooey, then how about Rick/Nago's friend theme? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqZ0-MrWYvE (0:27, after the god awful intro, you can't miss it) RE: Music Picks - Ekoi - 12-07-2009 Reposting since other thread was locked. Quote:As for an idea for Waluigi, how 'bout something from the Sonic and Mario: Olympic Games series? Holy crap that intro was bad. RE: Music Picks - Sol - 12-07-2009 The SM64 File Select music as Mario's loop would be awesome. RE: Music Picks - GaryCXJk - 12-07-2009 Anyway, reposting the original Samus one, just for comparison: [Original] [Slightly Altered] It only adds one instrument, but it also immediately makes it a bit stronger. I don't really want to change too much on it though. Also: [Super Mario - Bowser] [Super Mario - Bowser (Alt. 1)] [Super Mario - Bowser (Alt. 2)] [Super Mario - Bowser (Alt. 3)] The alternatives all miss just one instrument. Removing too many instruments will take out the menace the original had. However, like I said, too many instruments can be overkill. Just pick one. RE: Music Picks - Crappy Blue Luigi - 12-07-2009 The lead in Bowser's loop doesn't stand out enough over the drums. It's pretty hard to hear, in my opinion. |
