I got it, it's fine. Nothing amazing nothing great but good to kill a few hours. And not playing it just because it's nothing like the Divine Comedy (which I have also read) is a very crap reason.

it has to do with the fact that this is literally the most hamfisted and juvenile (thanks zeemort) interpretation possible - it is nothing but a glorified excess of tasteless brutality trying to cash in on the popularity of god of war and devil may cry
