battery is probably dead, but iirc that's a common problem with jade (even though copies that could actually save are really rare)
it can probably be fixed by popping the cartridge open and replacing the battery

Mine used to be able to save, but it stopped some years ago. At least now I know it can be fixed. I guess I'll have to look for save batteries.
It was really a pity it stopped saving though, I was near the end.

also sengir I think the battery is one of those button-cell hearing aid batteries
I don't know what model gbc carts (or at least pirate carts) take, but if you find out what battery is in it you should be able to pick up a matching model at a drugstore or soemthing
