Not really. Toaster ovens can make things awesome.

Microwaves just heat it up from the inside out using the liquid in the object to heat it up

Ovens and Toaster Ovens actually cook things though the outside in and if you do it right they come out good.

Uncle Bens does this range of microwave rice in packets. They're not particularly unhealhy, and it saves me on cooking a pot of rice from scratch if it's just a meal for me.

you should just put the buns in the toaster or something if you want them warm

but yeah i dont really know of any situations in which microwaving bread is a good idea
