The point of an edit is to give you a point of reference to show you what needs improving RE: Jaz GO! - Vipershark - 07-30-2010 Ice, 1up's sprite was basically a guideline to show you what changes need to be made. It wasn't so much a "here, use this" as it was a "look at this and use it to fix the problems with yours". In other words, don't use his. edit- beaten RE: Jaz GO! - Iceman404 - 07-30-2010 (07-30-2010, 01:17 PM)Track Eleven Wrote:Minus the air-hump.(07-30-2010, 03:10 AM)IceWilliams Wrote: ps am i gonna use this new version? No? RE: Jaz GO! - Cobalt Blue - 07-31-2010 we kinda covered that joke already but yes. RE: Jaz GO! - Rosencrantz - 07-31-2010 I dunno, the original sprite had airhump as it is a very slight, but apparent airhump RE: Jaz GO! - Chris2Balls [:B] - 07-31-2010 you might need a bigger face/facial features for the sprite if you want to convey emotions/expressions. RE: Jaz GO! - Cobalt Blue - 07-31-2010 so, any updates? RE: Jaz GO! - GrooveMan.exe - 08-01-2010 The position and shape of the eyes is really... unnatural. And your choice of colours are still terrible. RE: Jaz GO! - Shoda - 08-02-2010 His hat is really pillowshaded and doesn't follow with the light source of the jacket. You might wanna fix that RE: Jaz GO! - IceWilliams - 08-03-2010 (08-01-2010, 02:50 PM)GrooveMan.exe Wrote: The position and shape of the eyes is really... unnatural. To explain, the eyes on yours are the same size, which would only happen if we were looking at him precisely from the front. However, you have him in a stance that has us looking at him from an angle, therefore the proportion of things should reflect that angle. Look at 1up's, the eye closest to us (our left, his right) is quite readable, while the further one (our right, his left) is just a single line. As for the position, they seem a bit low on his face since he is wearing a hat. To explain the colors, see this: (07-29-2010, 09:05 PM)Francisco Cifuentes Wrote: ok, i think you just need to calm down and take a long, deep breath because it seems you're trying to accomplish more than you can do right now. Also, this: (08-03-2010, 06:55 AM)IceWilliams Wrote:Even not knowing how to shade, you should still at least see the lightsource is off in your sprite.(08-02-2010, 01:28 AM)Shoda Wrote: His hat is really pillowshaded and doesn't follow with the light source of the jacket. Look at the arrows, they show the disagreement of the lightsource position. |
