RE: Cyndaquil - Video_Pochi - 08-02-2010 Well when i am learning i don't like people saying whats bad but telling me what to do better and he has helped quite a bit but i would rather him leave out harsh language in any case thanks for the help. Now back to the sprite RE: Cyndaquil - triptych - 08-03-2010 Thanks for making it painfully obvious that you didn't read this I should probably warn you for it but uh it's all the way over by your rep and I don't want to do it anyways RE: Cyndaquil - Video_Pochi - 08-03-2010 Wow your good, anyway there's not much else i can do and i see i have a lot to learn. Since there isn't anything left to do i guess you could close this. RE: Cyndaquil - triptych - 08-03-2010 No, there's a lot you can do. That's why I made the edit it's supposed to show you what you can do RE: Cyndaquil - Video_Pochi - 08-03-2010 Oh in that case thank you i will work on it tomorrow well one more tonight RE: Cyndaquil - Cobalt Blue - 08-03-2010 i'll make it easier for you to understand why you shouldnt outline the fire. fire as it is isnt a solid object, and you should add outlines to solid objects only. not always, but at least not here. same as its shadows, it cant block light therefore it cant cast a shadow. RE: Cyndaquil - Alpha Six - 08-03-2010 Your palettes are really bad. RE: Cyndaquil - Chris2Balls [:B] - 08-03-2010 i opened this up in paint.net and upped the contrast, the colour saturation and intensity: so even if you don't restart the sprite from scratch you can change some things that make a visible difference. RE: Cyndaquil - Video_Pochi - 08-03-2010 Well here's my original palette and the one with more intensity on the dark colors. RE: Cyndaquil - Chris2Balls [:B] - 08-03-2010 look at what 1up did, look at a reference, and change the contrast first (which you haven't done in the update), then with the the colour saturation, and only then after that can you mess around with the colour intensity. if you're not sure, create a strip of your attempts at getting these levels right, and we'll tell you which we prefer! |
