I always wondered if people actually use these, too. It seems like people only use sprites like Mario or Kirby, etc.

Yeah, but I've seen quite a few things with other characters, too, though. Mario, Kirby, Link, Sonic, etc. are just the most popular of them.

I was actually referring to the pre-rendered racing sprites I rip, though. I can't really see them being used for much else than another racing game.

I know someone elsewhere who would absolutely love that rip of Raffine who himself is a large fan of Puyo Puyo, especially Fever and games after that.
