so I decided that instead of getting a used PS3 i'll get the extra 40 my folks owe me and get a new slim model for the sake of it.

wanna get suggestions for PS1 classics too, I already have a few titles so I wanna considder others I missed out on =/.

If you don't already have another version I suggest Earth Worm Jim HD. Note: There are easily obtainable low-res still perfectly great versions available everywhere that cost you nothing.

Also, if you don't have God of War for PS2, get God of War Collection for PS3. 2 great games for 30 bucks.

No wait, that one is on my list because it had Ariel. Worst buy ever on the PSN Store. No wait, that honor goes to that Mini, Supermarket Mania. Probably followed by Funky Punch.
Anyway, I did love Zen Pinball, but since most don't love pinball games, it's probably a no buy. Then you have Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness. Personally I enjoyed them, but they're not really that great though. PixelJunk Monsters is a great game... if you enjoy tower defense games.
Oh wait, there's one that's pretty radical. I need to buy it, but I got to try it with Playstation Plus as a full game trial. It's called Shatter and apparently it's also available on PC.
Also, while you're at it, wait until the 3D version of Avatar comes out on Blu-Ray. This version probably is capable of still outputting 2D images, but just wait for it, seeing as in the future you *might* one day have a 3D television.

It fixed whatever the issue was that made it better on 360. I don't really know, I just know my brother has it and was annoyed and then they patched it and he was happy.

To be honest I might end up getting it for the 360, depends because I know that there was some graphical issues on the PS3 (not being able to see ghosts). never heard about the patch though.
