This game certainly needs more love... I think that maybe I'll look into helping rip the characters (But saying that I probably never will... I tried to rip the first game, but got greatly confused.)

Yes. I love that game. It was my first tactical game I've ever played! I was only 7 when i played this. It was hard to me, but i love that game. Ripping is hard, but some pictures I can rip with timviewer, like this:
