RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - Phantom Killah - 10-04-2010

this game looks gorgeous
the only thing I don't like is that you don't appear to be able to die, but otherwise this is awesome

can't you waste your time and money on something other then nintendo games?

The game itself looks alright, although to be honest I am rather iffy on the fact that kirby is no longer the copying vacuum puffball I know in love.

The original Kirby game didnt have copying iirc

I never really played the first one tbh.

even if it didn't have the copying ability though, you can't deny kirby's signature ability was copying other shit's abilities, I mean that's how most people identify him with isn't it?
Is there something wrong with innovation?

Nobody complained about Air Ride or Canvas Curse. (or whatever the f the DS game was)

RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - GaryCXJk - 10-05-2010

Because nobody bought the games?

RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - DadNier - 10-05-2010

as someone who had the first kirby game as their first game, period, the fact that he is not copying things honestly doesn't bug me

~just my 2 cents~

If this game lives up to that standard, then this game will be well worth the money and wait.

Really?

I was originally put off by the game because it looked too much like Yoshi's Story. Only this game is strictly 2D platforming, and isn't trying to mix things up with any 2-D and a half bullshit.

I've watched many of the gameplay trailers, and I got to say...it's a beautiful game. I was put off originally, due to the whole "no copy ability" thing, AND the fact this isn't the old Kirby Gamecube game...buuuuuut this looks fun.

I will enjoy the Co-Op feature. My buddies and I played a lot of NSMB Wii and we've been dying for a new platformer to run through together. The new DKC also has Co-op too, which is a real treat.

No silly, because they were good. How'd you get that one wrong? Really. Frosty!

That's funny, cause I think a million people between both games classifies as "people buying the games."

To each their own, eh? I personally loved the way they mixed the 2D with 3D because they did it well, whereas most other games that tried that failed. It just fit with the Yoshi style to me, I guess.

Except air ride and canvas curse had copying to some extent, I'd say those are more gimmicks then anything else.

I'm not saying it isn't a bad thing not to have it, but some how i'm getting the feeling that the game might not be as great without it.

RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - Alpha Six - 10-05-2010

It'll be fine. The Kirby game on the Game Boy didn't have copying and it was just fine. This Kirby game still has its own gimmick to it. I don't see why this is suddenly a huge problem. It's like saying the non-platformer Mario games are bad because they aren't platformers.

RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - Shawn - 10-05-2010

KIRBY AIR RIDE WAS A FUCKING AWESOME GAME

THAT IS ALL

RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - Ark Kuvis - 10-05-2010

Kirby Air Ride was fucking delicious and I don't even know why people hate on it.

Seriously my buddies think this game is an unholy abomination but I used to rent it all the time because City Trial was so fucking good. Especially with other people.

I tried to play city trial with my brother and his girlfriend and they said it was confusing/complicated and I was like wow are you retarded

I don't think I did THAT bad of a job explaining it

RE: Kirby's Epic Yarn - TomGuycott - 10-05-2010

I'm a biiiig Kirby fan. I haven't played every game in the series, but every one I've played I've absolutely loved. This one looks like it's going to be really fun and the style seems like it's going to be pretty awesome. Also, as if the fact that Meta Knight and Dedede being in it wasn't cool enough, they also have altered patterns for fighting!

I can only imagine what the final boss might be like... Given the fact that the final enemies in Kirby games just get darker and darker, I bet the yarn making up the final boss will be a bunch of veins and intestines with giant eyeballs everywhere.

despite the fact it used the mario kart gimmick, I can agree with this.

it was a pretty fun time killer.
