RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - tsr moderation staff - 11-02-2010 bullshit, motherfucker RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - StarSock64 - 11-02-2010 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=411847 Inafune did a giant interview. I haven't read the whole thing and I don't know how I feel about what he's saying but he totally sounds like a superhero RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - Proton - 11-02-2010 Inafune wants to make Western games. I say sure. No harm. Look how good RE and Dead Rising were. RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - Cobalt Blue - 11-02-2010 you can't bake a cake without breaking some eggs. RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - thernz - 11-02-2010 Quote:4Gamer (4G): Thank you for your time today. Recently, you've made some rather extreme remarks and taken on many projects, so today's interview is to follow up with what you meant and how you're doing.Edgyfune. he seems cool now from the interview. Quote:4G: What you're saying, though, might be interpreted as western game supremacism.oh wait :\ okay, he's just kinda cool now. i wonder if he realizes how western games are plagued by hideously short development time and low-end pitches in comparison, flawed by their own potential of efficiency. it'd be interesting to see what he does. i dont particularly agree with his focus on business, it seems more like he just wants to test his creativity to see if it's marketable enough nowadays rather than wanting to express that creativity. but i agree with his goals, maybe he might even strike a good balance between western and eastern development practices! kinda cool RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - DioShiba - 11-02-2010 Quote:KI: The reason why I'm quitting is basically because I think that the game industry itself must change the way it goes about making games. You might think I'm being hypocritical, but the really big wall that the Japanese game industry is hitting is the changing of its creators into salarymen.[quote]I can agree with Inafune on this. And to be truly honest, I don't even believe this should be limited to just the Japanese market. This has been happening to the entire industry now. RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - Vipershark - 11-02-2010 While Kotick may be the most blatant "salaryman", I do agree hat game development is steering more toward milking games. With the birth of Digital Distribution and DLC, everything is tailored to making a quick buck. Why can't we just have good games anymore? RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - PrettyNier - 11-02-2010 inafune is targetting the right faults, mostly, but he's looking in the completely wrong direction if he's trying to find the "better" thing or the way to fix it RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - Iceman404 - 11-03-2010 Western Games = Megaman FPS 1, 2, 3, and Megaman Reach. RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - tsr moderation staff - 11-03-2010 its the same with movies, all it means is that the game buffs have to look a tiny bit harder to find the cool and original games RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - D2S-Speed - 11-03-2010 Hopefully this won't effect Megamans placement in Marvel vs Capcom 3. That's one my characters, It's bad enough they have taken out Gambit. RE: Keiji Inafune leaves Capcom - Vipershark - 11-03-2010 Inafune has nothing to do with that. Megaman is Capcom's character. They still own the rights to Megaman. |
