I'd laugh if it weren't so pathetic, looking at the situation.

-Edmund McMillan set up peta by using fake accounts on their forum
-peta made a parody in response unaware that the accounts were fake
-All the Meat boy developers make fun of them
-world wide attention draws to the both of them

Summed up, Super meat boy developers proved how retarded peta is and in the process making themselves look like freshmen in high school. Gee it must be funny in a way.

RE: Super Tofu Boy - Kitsu - 12-03-2010

It is funny. In a facepalm sort of way.

RE: Super Tofu Boy - Koopaul - 12-04-2010

Internet turns what would would be mature people into children. What else is new.

I hate them more than I can even explain
They give EVERYONE who gives even half a fuck about animal welfare a bad name

Ingrid Newkirk likens owning a pet to slavery and yet is TOTALLY OKAY WITH BESTIALITY
and they kill something like 80% of the animals they "rescue" because "they're not a rehoming service"
I am going to kill and eat everyone even tangentially related to PETA.
Actually whoa looking at last year's statistics
PETA killed 97% of their "rescued" animals
yeah these dudes are all about the ethical treatment of animals
killing 97% of your rescued animals and paying a couple grand for a walk in freezer to store the corpses in really sounds like conventional behaviour for an animal welfare group

Someone watched Penn & Teller.

Yes because TV is the sole source of information on the planet :I

The internet alone has nothing to do with people being immature, it's how people act when their on it.

stop implying that the world wide web has everything to do with interactions, the only reason why people bother fucking with everyone on the internet is because they are cowards hiding behind a username.

Aren't you... basically agreeing with him, there?

Because the 'net grants you some degree of anonymity, you have much more elbow-room to be a jackass -- as you're rather neatly proving by insisting on taking Koopaul 100% literally and using it as an excuse to jump all over him :I

It's not as bad as it was on Pixeltendo but man
is it me or do people still kinda jump on Koopaul for basically nothing?
I've never really seen him be openly disrespectful, the only criticism I've really heard of him is being overly nostalgic, and it seems a bit much to jump on him for being a "nostalgiafag" or whatever.

RE: Super Tofu Boy - ThePortalGuru - 12-04-2010

To be completely honest, I love Super Meat Boy, and I love the attitude and attention the dev team puts towards their games, but being this immature is pretty unacceptable.

Then again, the majority of this was done by Edmund, and you have to keep in mind that he used to be a big Newgrounds user. And god fucking damn, there is not a single mature person on that site.

there's a difference in saying that people act immaturely on the internet rather then saying that the internet turns every user into a child.

Yeah, i'm agreeing with him to some extent but you might as well say "people act differently on the internet then they do in real life" it's like talking behind someone's back rather then saying that it's magic that can turn you into a different person.

this happens everytime in tsr/pixeltendo

someone picks on [koopaul/vipershark] or calls him out because of a couple of stupid posts
everyone else bandwagons into that
someone then brings up that [koopaul/vipershark] ain't all that bad and worth of everyone calling them out
everyone else goes "YEAH THIS IS BULLSHIT" and bandwagons again

It'd be nice if we just disconsider "fame" and "reputation" of other members around here and just reply to people based on what the post has to say alone. Sure, when we read a post from a member, you will have this image of him and it'll always bias on the way you perceive the post of that person, even when you try not to be biased, but still, can we just try to attack the argument, not the person? I:

This goes for members with bad reputation and with good reputation, too. It's common that people skips posts from members who aren't very known to do really good posts or pay attention more to posts that have thanks on them.

Anyway, something that I really hate about PETA is that, although filled with dumb people with twisted moralities that thinks that they can literally force all of us to not eat meat, and that resorts to SHOCK IMAGES and comparison to NAZISM (cheapest, worst arguments in the history of arguing) to convince people of their cause, is that people with good intentions are reeled in. I know two vegans that doesn't eat meat because they don't stand animal cruelty, they'd feel sick by eating meat made with animal cruelty. Imagine people then who are so sensitive to that that they can't even stand looking at meat. PETA reels those people, who are unaware and uninstructed of what PETA's actions can ultimately lead to and why their proposal is insanely dumb, blinded by their illusion that they're doing the most rightful thing and due to their disgust of animal cruelty.

RE: Super Tofu Boy - Koopaul - 12-04-2010

Wait what just happened? I was just trying to be funny. I should stop doing that if everyone takes me so seriously.

RE: Super Tofu Boy - Vivvav - 12-05-2010

I can't hate Team Meat, just because we have a common enemy, even if they are immature.
