It's like he pulled some kind of anti-molyneux. I'd also be all for the thing if it was practical and it was capable of heavy-scale emulation, but I doubt it'll be capable of downloading and playing ROMs entirely :< RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - Vipershark - 03-05-2011 (03-05-2011, 06:50 PM)Sengir Wrote: Um, no stores are gonna sell it at 10$ if that's what it cost to make. From what I gathered on the trailer, it's gonna be sold online only. Even still, it costs money for the circuit board, the casings, and the LCD display. I HIGHLY doubt that all that can run under ten bucks not including batteries (I'm giving benefit of the doubt and assumming it's AA-based). And if it can't make profit, then a company would have to either be retarded or have too much money to throw around to consider such a thing. RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - GrooveMan.exe - 03-05-2011 Pffft, I thought his first publicity stunt flopped hard enough for no one to give a damn anymore. There was a... balance of honest (mediocre) effort, and deliberate acting out to generate attention; but any combination of either of those things made him out to be a bit of an idiot. This is no different. The idea to produce hardware may have been a legitimate idea of his; but this whole thing just smacks of 'attention-seeking hoax'. Fool me once, Bob. RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - Sengir - 03-06-2011 /if/ he ever releases it i'm going to make a freeware erotic sex game for it that has no hope of ever making it onto his app store and if he doesnt accept it i'll claim to lock myself in my room for 200 days and make my own 8-bit handheld console RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - Cobalt Blue - 03-06-2011 (03-05-2011, 05:31 PM)Vipershark Wrote: A cheaper alternative to the GP2X Wiz?Dingo a320, Emulates NES, SNES, CPS1/2, NeoGeo, Java and GBA thread over. I could be wrong though. RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - Rosencrantz - 03-06-2011 Ohhh, the Dingo. There's built-in emulation for the stuff Metaru listed, but a majority of the other emulators (including Genesis) are homebrew downloads. I'm only really interested in that thing if it supports N64 emulation. I've looked into it a while ago but I couldn't find good information on whether its homebrews run N64 or not. RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - Vipershark - 03-07-2011 not enough buttons for that RE: New handheld gaming device from the creator of Bob's Game. - Sol - 03-07-2011 I have trouble seeing any of this Bob's Game stuff as anything but a joke/hoax/trolling, this nD thing isn't really any different. Regardless of whatever amount of this is "real" it's still idiotic.
