RE: Digimon Masters Online - Shadowth117 - 04-01-2011 You can either change the name of it in your .obj's respective .mtl or you can just reassign the material in max with the new name. Both ways work fine. RE: Digimon Masters Online - Candescence - 04-01-2011 Edit: GAH WHERE DID YOU COME FROM. But seriously, thanks again! I'll get those models ready for submission real soon. Also, I got off my ass and did more rips. Namely, Gizumon AT and Gizumon XT, as well as Masaru's first three costumes. The Gizumon are fine, I think (though I had to use XT's idle pose because its default pose intersects its feet for some stupid reason), the both of them are more or less ready to export to .obj, and I think Masaru's first costume pose is fine, but the second and third costumes have rather unfortunate poses. I may have to re-rip them anyway in order to get the size for each one just right in proportion to each other. (Speaking of which, I am aware that some of the model sizes might be out of wack in terms of Max's units, but this is more or less trivial to rectify.) Fortunately, most of the PCs' costumes have t-poses. Unfortunately, most of these costumes are probably stuff people won't want (bear costumes, for one), but there are a few neat ones like a suit and tie and soccer uniforms. Sweet. RE: Digimon Masters Online - valforwing - 04-01-2011 O.o Bear costumes? RE: Digimon Masters Online - Candescence - 04-02-2011 Not kidding. Half the costumes are... A rabbit suit, basically the same bear costume with different skins, and a costume that turns the PC into, of all things, a small snowman. LOL. Of course, this is made up for by having Yoshino wearing skirts on a few of her outfits. Also, I just discovered something rather funny... Apparently, Leomon dies. AGAIN. They've got a separate model just for him lying down dead. He just can't catch a break, can he? Anyway, I plan on ripping all the models for the player characters next, a good deal of them are t-posed, and the ones that aren't are much better than Masaru's run-posed ones. Though Ikuto has something weird going on with his eyes in his first three costumes, which isn't actually an issue because I can use his NPC model instead, which unfortunately isn't t-posed but it's good enough. RE: Digimon Masters Online - valforwing - 04-04-2011 wait....Bancholeomon dies or just regular Leomon?....he dies in like every series dose'nt he? why are there so many different costuems? i'd understand different seasonal outfits...but why multiple bear costumes for one charecter? RE: Digimon Masters Online - Zerox - 04-04-2011 Well it's an MMO and that gives players variety. Candescence I would recommend asking them how they managed to rip them in their unanimated poses as those are much more convenient than animated pose models 99% of the time. RE: Digimon Masters Online - Candescence - 04-05-2011 If by "they", you mean "Banditger", I might, because he's the only one who seems to consistently rip unanimated poses. I might ask him sometime, perhaps... Also, just to note, this game has several cameos from the various Digimon seasons, not just the Digimon Kaiser. There's Sora's mom, a couple of the Wild Bunch, Takato's teacher... And a few others, I think. RE: Digimon Masters Online - valforwing - 04-05-2011 O.o why would they include sora's mom? if it were me i would have included tai's mom with her insane health food ideas....bleh..onion juice and beef jerky shakes. are there any areas from the other digimon universes? or is it just Data squad? like if u wander around do u suddingly find yourself in Highton View Terrace or Guilmon's hideout, or even that wonky playground that takato used to play cards in? RE: Digimon Masters Online - KaraszKun - 04-09-2011 Hmm, these models look interesting. RE: Digimon Masters Online - Candescence - 04-19-2011 So, I finally asked Banditger how he does his model rips. It turns out all you need to do is export the model from NifSkope to .obj, export the texture to .tga, and then fix things up in a modelling program. So hilariously simple in hindsight, though I did try the exporting from NifSkope thing before, and the resulting model refused to import to Blender, so I assumed the same result would occur for 3DS Max. Oh, how wrong I was. In short, I'm gonna re-do all my model rips, this time with unanimated poses, and the scales unaltered. Awesome. But first, Portal 2! RE: Digimon Masters Online - Shadowth117 - 04-19-2011 Cool to hear that you're gonna do that, I'm glad you got it figured out. And yeah, Portal 2 for the win! RE: Digimon Masters Online - trainguy111 - 07-10-2011 Can anyone do a 3D model of Ranamon from Digimon frontier? RE: Digimon Masters Online - Shadowth117 - 07-10-2011 I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no. For one you posted in a thread like 3 months old. And you're also requesting in something other than the requesting forum. |
