RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - RoleOfGSHC - 03-09-2012 Cool! Thank you so very much! This'll come in real handy! ^-^ RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - Garamonde - 03-09-2012 No problem, I try to be as helpful as I can be. RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - RoleOfGSHC - 04-23-2012 Oh... dear... Those programs you mentioned? I finally got around to working with them, but... I can't make heads or tails of this stuff. The only thing I really got working decently was Tinke, but even then, it apparently only recognizes 10% of the files or something... I've seen screenshots of it looking at fonts, so this really excites me, but... I just can't seem to figure it out... Go figure, too - it's the only one with no readme. RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - Garamonde - 04-24-2012 Well, there will be times when you just won't be able to find anything that will decompress the files, unfortunately... If nothing works at all, then I guess the last resort is the old fashioned screenshot technique I'm sorry to say. Have you PMed redblueyellow about your problems yet? He'd be happy to assist you however he can. RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - redblueyellow - 04-24-2012 Is this what you mean by font? I did a real quick in-game rip of the letters that appear in the beginning of the game. Could you tell me what revision of Tinke you are using? The latest as of this moment is rev 135. You can download it here. (I compiled this myself from the site where the code is). You can also try contacting pleonex (creator of Tinke) as he's always open to suggestions but you need to play the waiting game... RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - Azthok - 09-25-2012 Hello everybody, I'm new I'd like to rip sprites from the game JoJo Bizarre adventures (preferably the PS1 edition), and I'd like to use an automated program cause it's too annoying to save screenshots for every frame and then clean them... Something that I can feed the cd content to and get results... I hope somebody can help :-) I really can't understand why JoJo sprite rips are so hard to find on the net O_O RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - Garamonde - 09-25-2012 Try this. RE: Ripping Tool recommendations? - Saigyou R. - 11-08-2012 Sorry for necropost, but when I was reading this Barubary's thread I've found a decompressor that might be useful to you: DSDecmp. The project page says you can decompress files from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn using version 3b. I haven't tried it yet but maybe it can help you a little |
