Seriously, I don't get why Nintendo is so afraid of third parties again. It's what made the Gamecube as amazing as it was (e.g. Star Fox Assault, Wario World, all of Capcom's and most of Sega's stuff). Hopefully we see that kind of support with the Wii U...
But uh... I didn't like NSMB Wii, anyway... and I never played Pikmin, so no comment on the rest of it. Heh. But yeah, seriously let Retro Studios have a go at F-Zero, that'd probably turn out pretty radular.

I think you got the third party thing backwards.
A lot of third party developers steered away from the wii because they didn't know what to make of it. That's kind of why there isn't a lot of games on there let alone nintendo games that were made with third party help.

For anyone who read my Sonic Dimensions post.... Really sorry, the game is a hoax. Sonic Dimensions never existed and will never be. So sad. It would have been nice to see a sonic game for Wii U.

To be honest, I hated SM3DL, because it was supposed to be a 3D Mario game that plays like a 2D game, which sounded like music to my ears, but was horrifically linear with only a few branches and useless secret exits. How hard is it to branch paths in a 3D enviroment? Even the map was a single line!
Aside from the fact that I 100%'d the game on my friends copy, I see myself going for NSMB2 sooner than SM3DL. I hope they'll add replay value for a change rather than annoying and frustrating challenges (dying a lot'll keep you busy >.>)
Sorry for the rant, but especially after playing the surprise gem that is Kid Icarus: Uprising, I realize how stale the Mario main games have become. Nintendo, do this one justice, please, and make this one the true next SMB3. The P bar is a start.
