RE: Open .WAD file from Spyro the Dragon? - John2k4 - 06-12-2012 Ah, okay. I thought you were saying that you had extracted the model files, but they were in BIN format. Can you open a BIN file up in a hex editor, and see if it says anything in the header? If the file is LZMA/LZ77 compressed, you will probably be able to see some information. Example from an LZ compressed Mario Party 9 model: RE: Open .WAD file from Spyro the Dragon? - Nero1024 - 06-12-2012 (06-12-2012, 12:36 PM)John2k4 Wrote: Ah, okay. I don't think these files are compress in that format, I also peered through it with a hex editor couldn't find anything familiar. RE: Open .WAD file from Spyro the Dragon? - Friedslick6 - 07-13-2012 Is there an .EXE file within the disk? Scan it with a hex editor for extensions like .MIDI and see if you can find a list of file extensions. RE: Open .WAD file from Spyro the Dragon? - Friedslick6 - 07-28-2012 Well then scan the .EXE of the Spyro Demo found in Crash Bandicoot 3. I've tried that, but the results came up with nothing familiar. |
