You'd rather have those damn bastards that have their magazine shoved down your throat at every game stop you go to? RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Jovian-12 - 08-25-2012 I stopped subscribing to NP a while ago, but this is still sad news. lots of memories eagerly awaiting that magazine every month. RIP RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Makermatic21 - 08-25-2012 How sad for Nintendo Power. I have very fond memoriers growing up with Nintendo Power. I first got into it when my cousin gave me all his issues he no longer wanted. Thanks to neibors, friends, family, and yard sales, plus a monthly subscription, I have quite a collection. While the quality has gone down in recent years, the old magazines are classic. I still pull them out every now and than to read an old artical or cheat in a game I haven't played in a zillion years. Well I'm sure at least most of us have fond memories and many issuses, so... R.I.P. Maybe they never printed his letter? RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Koopaul - 08-25-2012 Nope in recent years the latest staff continued to mock the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and all of its characters. I'm not sure if you're serious or not. Really. I can't tell. RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Goemar - 08-26-2012 Well Kiddy sucked... Funky and Candy were just there. I really didn't think anyone cared about the characters other than DK, Diddy and Cranky. And well, I can't imagine any magazine spending that much time mocking games that most people no longer have any interest in. RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Kriven - 08-26-2012 Kiddy is great, you're a fool. I think the only Kong I dislike is Candy and New Tiny. RE: RIP Nintendo Power - DioShiba - 08-26-2012 (08-25-2012, 11:22 PM)Koopaul Wrote: "Hating the editors of a magazine because of their opinions." Well that's a pretty lame excuse to hate it. "Wow everyone has opinions about everything and if they aren't agreeing with me then fuck them." I'm sorry but this is just stupid. So not everyone likes what Rare did with DKC, so what, but hating the magazine for that? Also the only Kongs I really cared for were DK, Diddy, Dixie, Cranky, and Funky. I couldn't care for the rest of them. RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Kriven - 08-26-2012 I don't get why everyone loves Funky. He didn't do anything! RE: RIP Nintendo Power - DioShiba - 08-26-2012 He was a fun side character. Aside from Cranky literally all the other side kongs were just bland, At least Funky had personality as a side character rather than being that kong who's just like "oh hey I'm a kong, I'm here to help you." like the other side kongs were. RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Mutsukki - 08-26-2012 The misinformation they used to print, like Fox's legs being amputated and Wario being Mario's cousing are the only things I kinda disliked. Otherwise I don't even care, our own version of Nintendo Power here is radically diferent. RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Kriven - 08-26-2012 Neither of those things are false, though o-o; RE: RIP Nintendo Power - Tellis - 08-26-2012 Well, neither of them are confirmed. The characters in the art for the original and Fox in Melee both look like they have robotic legs, so it's a theory that it's so that the g-force doesn't cause them to pass out. Buuuuut in Star Fox 64 there's the whole "G-Diffuser" thing so... eh. Not to mention that gets a bit confounded by the fact that Star Fox and Star Fox 64 are different timelines or whatever. It's a theory. But uh... NP's the only people who've said that Mario and Wario are cousins, though. So yeah. |
