RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Magma MK-II - 08-21-2013 How do you make this memory dump? Use Process Explorer, right-click the application and select "Create Dump > Create Full Dump". 3. If you've got Windows 7 (I'm not sure if XP had the option), you can dump the memory directly from the Task Manager, with the "Create Dump File" option. You'll have to pick it up from your Temp folder though. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Ton - 08-21-2013 Bummer. XP over here. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Magma MK-II - 08-21-2013 I'm gonna try. May get something up to tomorrow. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Random Talking Bush - 08-21-2013 (08-21-2013, 10:25 AM)Ton Wrote: Bummer. XP over here.Well, either of the first two will work then, as those were what I used before switching to Windows 7. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Deathbringer - 08-21-2013 ProcessMemoryDumper does work and I have gotten good results. I said good, not perfect. And just for the record, the only setting for TiledGGD you need to change is the Alpha Location to End (which is why I had to use TiledGGD). Also you need it at 32 bits/pixel. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Ton - 08-21-2013 Oh wow. THIS is exciting. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Deathbringer - 08-21-2013 To save the trouble for anyone, here's a dump which I did checked and it seems to have everything in it. The uncompressed file is like 350MB. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2v0wvhi2xbww0ty/ROCKMAN8FC.zip RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Ton - 08-21-2013 Fantastic! *saves* Thanks a lot! Er... what can I open it with? RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Random Talking Bush - 08-21-2013 (08-21-2013, 02:33 PM)Ton Wrote: Er... what can I open it with?TiledGGD, of course. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Garamonde - 08-21-2013 I haven't played the game (didn't even know it existed tbh) so I don't know if I'd get the palettes right or anything so I probably wouldn't be too helpful but wish I could help anyway and I'm predictably very much looking forward to what you guys come up with~ RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Random Talking Bush - 08-21-2013 (08-21-2013, 09:40 PM)Axle the Red Wrote: I haven't played the game (didn't even know it existed tbh) so I don't know if I'd get the palettes right or anything so I probably wouldn't be too helpful but wish I could help anyway and I'm predictably very much looking forward to what you guys come up with~Being 32-bit images (RGBA), there are no palettes to worry about. All of Mega Man's alternate palettes are separate sprite sets. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Garamonde - 08-21-2013 I see, perhaps I'll give it a go tomorrow or sometime. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - Magma MK-II - 08-22-2013 I was gonna ask about the palettes, since there is no way to scroll through them for whatever reason. RE: Megaman/Rockman 8 De-make - GruGoomba - 08-22-2013 Judging from the Frostman/Aquaman screenie, these sprites will be useful for Megaman fangames (i.e. using them plain, or editing them) so thanks to all of you guys for doing this. |
