RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 11-22-2013 There is now a pretty sweet A Link Between Worlds poster set. Features three 22x28 posters. I won't be getting them because I'm really after free games (and I don't have any wall or ceiling left to poster), but they are pretty cool.500 coins. On the topic of games: is grill-off with ultra hand worth the 80 coins/has anyone tried Cubello? Edit: To answer the question in the previous post, I think Platinum awards are announced around May. Don't quote me on it, though. RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Ton - 11-23-2013 I sure wish they'd put something up that was good and didn't sell out in 15 minutes. RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 11-23-2013 I just wish they didn't want ludicrous coinage for things like posters. I'd like to order more things, but then I'm like "ehhh... coins are scarce, that isn't worth it." RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - NICKtendo DS - 11-24-2013 I remember when they had a golden Link on Epona figure for 15000 Stars. (You get 250 starts per game nowadays, meaning you had to register 60 games) Good times! Thank God they've decided to not overprice newer merch as much. 1700 Stars for a Pikmin keychain is not a bad deal. 5000 Stars for a tiny Mario Kart 7 trophy still is, even if the stock is limited. RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 11-24-2013 The coolest aspect of the expensive rewards is the ridiculous prices you can sell some for. I can (and probably will) sell my unopened Game & Watch Collection and buy used but complete copies of it and G&WC2 with something left over. Same with the Mario figurine I got a while back. In a way that balances the cost out, but it's still a pain. RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 12-06-2013 Posters are gone. The games are set to change up on the eigth, so you have until Sunday to pick up what you don't have. I suspect the other items will get a slight shift on that day as well. If only they lasted longer... And wait, there was an Metroid game for the 3DS? RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 12-10-2013 Virtual Console of the NES version. Edit: Using this opportunity to note that Club Nintendo has fallen behind with no official statement. All of the expiration dates have been bumped to "Until 12/9", so hopefully tomorrow will bring us some new toys to play with (but I kind of doubt it). Edit-Edit: I'm gonna go ahead and say the new 3DS update contributed to the Club Nintendo prize delay. RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 12-10-2013 They've finally updated, though it's fairly underwhelming. Mario's Picross for only a hundred coins is something I might grab, don't know about Starship Defense (I like tower defense, but the trailer was very blinky. Is the real game actually like that?) For the Wii U are two NES games: Lost Levels and Balloon Fight. Both are great games, but I think most people who want them probably already have them. Disappointingly, it seems Club Nintendo will no longer be offering free Wii games. There hasn't been any noticeable change in the physical items you can purchase. I'm kind of disappointed by this, because it means I won't be getting it. Oh well. It's still a really slick looking figure, though. I'll trade you the Luigi Hat game case for the luigi statue. kidding Unfortunately I only have 945 coins after searching all throughout my house for club nintendo codes. Hopefully it doesn't sell out too soon! RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Kriven - 12-26-2013 There was some discussion earlier in the month about the Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels offer actually being the Wii version and not actually the version available from the Nintendo eShop. I figured this was merely a coincidence which would be fixed, but tonight I finally decided to check it out for myself. The Club Nintendo product page clearly displays the Nintendo Wii, so I cast my coins to the winds and gave it a try. I can confirm, yes, the version of Lost Levels currently available is the Wii release. If you haven't updated to the Wii U yet and are interested in (legally) experiencing Lost Levels in its original form (as opposed to the All-Stars version), this is a cool thing. If you do have a Wii U... Nothing's stopping you, but you'll have to shell out a buck to upgrade to GamePad support. tl;dr: Lost Levels really is the Wii version and will work on your WiiShop. RE: Club Nintendo Rewards Thread - Ton - 12-26-2013 Still no confirmation that my Luigi Statue has been shipped. I'm guessing the holidays interfered. |
