Thanks Gors,

I made the pores a little bit smaller, as well as added some AA around them. Also, I made the patio pattern, and did a rough placement of how the final game will look like, what do you guys think?

The cncrete and the brown tiles seem to be drawn in two very different styles. The concrete has a lot of dark bordering whoch separates them, while the brown tiles join together almost seamlessly. I think the concrete should have a thinner border and lower contrast, then they'll look like they have the same style. I love those brown tiles, by the way.

You make a good point midi, thanks! I was wondering about that myself, the transition I wanted wasn't really there. I'll work on the concrete and try to match the art direction of the tiles.

RE: Alaby's Sprites - Alaby - 11-29-2013

I modified the concrete so that it matches more the art style of the floor tiles, and I reduced the border of the concrete sprites a little bit.

Also I did another test for the overall look.

I think I may not be giving the best input since I'm looking at these on my phone, but I feel like the saturation of the darkest tiles should be a bit less. As they are they are probably the most distracting element from my perspective.

Thanks Guicote!

I did 2 more variations on the overall look. One has the saturation a bit down as well as the contrast, I think the ball mixes in too much with the enviro on that one. The other one has the same floor pattern as before, but the concrete has been darkened, and the ball lightened a bit, I think this is much better.

Hello everyone Smile

Im working again on sprites, this time Im gonna be making some sprites for a vertical shooter that Im gonna make in Game maker. It is around the same style as the Shooter Tutorial.

So heres an animated sprite I made, its an armor powerup. Just throwing it out there to see what everyone thinks. Even if its just "its ok", I really appreciate your comments.

RE: Alaby's Sprites - Gors - 01-30-2014

the graphic looks really gritty, too many stray pixels for what i think it should be smooth and shiny given the animation, also the color you picked for the letter A is dull. Try a bright, saturated yellow to achieve that shiny feel.
