Thanks all for the info, one thing I want to emphasis, with out sounding flippant, is I am a programming/numbers guy first and not an artist. This is actually my first attempt at something like this and while I do understand what is being said, I will likely not be able to use it all or at least right away.

That being said I have removed that outline bit and tried to give the sprite a bit more contrast Smile wahoo! Please let me know what you think.
