I hope they have an overworld like the original rather than just a hub area like the second one.

Yeah, looks like it'll be taking the path of PM2 and giving Bowser a story too. What's the thing that flies by in the background while Bowser is on the cliff?
EDIT: The battle system seems to be closer to Paper Mario. Check out Mario when he jumps on Bowser.

But Bowser has had consistant major relevance in all M&L games so far. Yoshi has sad minor side parts at best; and not the main Yoshi that has a regular aquaintance with Mario.
