RE: Games You Want Localized - Maxpphire - 07-18-2014 BeatmaniaIIDX, Pop'n Music, Jubeat, Sound Voltex, and Gitadora. Come on Konami, ilu RE: Games You Want Localized - E-Man - 07-18-2014 Two words: Tomato Adventure. RE: Games You Want Localized - Garamonde - 07-18-2014 Bomberman Jetters: Densetsu no Bomberman. Basically Bomberman Tournament but way cooler, IMO. I also recommend watching this really good blind playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrgkTGT9qEg RE: Games You Want Localized - MrYoshbert - 07-18-2014 The first four Starfy games. The fifth one was the one that came to the west. Now that GBA Virtual Console is a thing, maybe it could happen! RE: Games You Want Localized - Tellis - 07-18-2014 =WARNING RANT APPROACHING NO REFUGE= Omigod, the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia. It had two more fully playable characters (one of which is only partially name-dropped in the original version), nearly double the amount of voice acting (filling in the cutscenes previously never voice acted), a new Mystic Arte for every character, several new boss fights (including a fourth super boss form of the final boss), and costumes out the friggin' butt. It also added the ability to replay boss fights in a late game bonus area, reintroduced the Team Arena for the Coliseum in addition to the single character ___-Man Melees already in the Coliseum, bumped up the amount overlimits you could use and store up to 8, and added an item that gave you 8 more shortcuts for Artes. Aaaaaand it never got localized because Microsoft paid Namco Bandai to keep the game an "Xbox Exclusive" by only publishing the vastly inferior 360 version outside of Japan. What's worse is that it's fairly obvious that the original plan was to release the PS3 version as well (or only the PS3 version). It's been revealed that there was voice work done for parts of the game that are only in that version of the game, such as Rita's second Mystic Arte and Troy Baker said during a Q&A at Sakura-con 2010 that he had done extra voice work for the PS3 version. And I'm pretty sure (I'd have to look it up) Hideo Baba, the series producer himself, says he regrets the entire decision, which is thankfully pretty indicative of Namco's changing stance towards only releasing the "complete" version of Tales games in the US. Unfortunately, Tales of Vesperia kinda came out back in 2008, making it very unlikely that they'll actually release it in any form and unlikely that they'd be able to get all the old voice actors back on it. Not to mention it's hard to justify rereleasing a game that many Tales fans have already played in another form years ago. Second to worst case scenario it'd wind up being one of the PS3 digital releases on PS4, which would mean I'd have to buy an entire next-gen console to play a non-physical copy of it... Worst case scenario is it still remaining entirely untranslated, of course. RE: Games You Want Localized - Mystie - 07-18-2014 (07-18-2014, 09:39 AM)MrYoshbert Wrote: The first four Starfy games. RE: Games You Want Localized - Kitsu - 07-18-2014 Valkyria Chronicles 3 also, more of the Front Mission series would be nice RE: Games You Want Localized - Shawn - 07-19-2014 (07-18-2014, 01:14 AM)Mutsukki Wrote: Yokai Watchthese and danball senki/little battlers experience also those fuckin digimon world games that come out like EVERY YEAR in japan RE: Games You Want Localized - E-Man - 07-19-2014 (07-18-2014, 05:02 PM)Mystie Wrote:(07-18-2014, 09:39 AM)MrYoshbert Wrote: The first four Starfy games. RE: Games You Want Localized - Koopaul - 07-19-2014 At least give us the first three. Those were the best in the series. Anyway, I read it on Wikipedia way back when the one Starfy game was localized (which was 2009). But then again, it's Wikipedia, anything can be changed at pure will. RE: Games You Want Localized - E-Man - 07-19-2014 Well, that makes a lot more sense than what I originally thought. As for why I assumed that in the first place, I was thinking that the first game might be too short/too easy for most serious players, while the fourth one was a bit of a letdown compared to the last entry before it. Since I know there are some fans that like to pretend that bad games/movies in an otherwise good series don't exist, I was thinking that was the case here. RE: Games You Want Localized - Kosheh - 07-20-2014 I'm pretty sure it's because they came out a million years ago and Starfy wasn't really "well known" (as a Nintendo IP) until Brawl. it's like the whole fire emblem thing, no one complains about the first six not being localized, lol RE: Games You Want Localized - Kriven - 07-20-2014 (07-20-2014, 08:27 AM)Kosheh Wrote: it's like the whole fire emblem thing, no one complains about the first six not being localized, lol Yes we do o-O RE: Games You Want Localized - Vipershark - 07-20-2014 Please localize famicom wars i need my continuity |
