RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - DioShiba - 02-26-2016 I'd have to say Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City for starters. Been hooked on Star Wars Battlefront lately and to be honest it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be putting aside typical EA bullshit. Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi was also pretty good if memory serves me correctly, though you really have to practice the game to get good at it. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - LeftnRightLloyd - 02-26-2016 This one isn't good. It's really good. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - BullockDS - 02-26-2016
RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - Kriven - 02-26-2016 I think a big part of enjoying licensed video games, though, is already enjoying the property that's being adapted. Obviously there are some phenomenal games that blur that line (like GoldenEye), but for the most part... you know, what's somebody who's exclusively into Game of Thrones going to get out of my recommending X-Men Legends? Probably not a whole lot. (Although shit, a GoT game using the Legends engine would be awesome). That just isn't alright. Pretty much everything Lego is fantastic. That reminds me... If the LEGO games are so awesome, why have so few of them ever seen a rip? Are they simply over-looked or something? Might I ask what LEGO games are your top favorites, though? RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - K0n9 - 02-26-2016 I thought the 6th gen TMNT games were good. Simpsons Hit and Run was alright. The last one I got was the lego marvel game from I think 2013. My brother in law got the Indiana Jones and Harry Potter years 1-4, but I never really got to play them much. Now his Wii isn't working right for some reason. (Plus, I rarely visit him and my sister anymore) RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - miyabi95_ - 02-26-2016 Although I appreciate the nostalgic value of the Legacy of Goku series, they have not aged well at all. They're pretty much fan games that were made by people with the licenses to Dragon Ball Z, lol. xD But it was fun to explore the environments. The games gave you a lot to look for and it required quite a bit of strategy to obtain them. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - Koh - 02-26-2016 I thought the 2nd and 3rd ones were pretty good. I mean, they were way too easy, but at least everything ran nice, and was polished. OSTs were great too, of course. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - Omegajak - 02-27-2016 Lion King Genesis. Brave Fencer Musashiden, though not directly based on Miyomoto Musashi's book The Book of the Five Rings it's loosely based. So I feel I should mention it. It's the 3D Zelda game everyone played but don't remember as fondly of as Ocarina of Time. EDIT: Oh yeah, the DBZ game that best represents the series out of all the games is still: it's simple and does the entire series and even gives you side dialogue. A HD Remake of this game is something I hope they one day do. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - Dippergames420 - 09-30-2020 Raging Blast 1 and 2, my friends. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - DogToon64 - 09-30-2020 Since this is back up, I'll tell you mine: Star Wars Battlefront (2015), Battlefront 2 (2017), Star Wars commander (used to, it's gone now), X-Wing Alliance, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Mostly Star Wars games. Battlefront 2 is considered one of the worst games ever made (on Wikipedia it is), it's pretty sad to see it be considered that. Although, I like Battlefront 1 better than 2. The second one needs Survival mode and/ or Walker Assault mode like the original one's got. RE: Media-Based Games That DON'T Suck? - 9sholmes - 07-22-2023 Now that Transformers: Rise of the Beast 2023 is out in theaters, I wonder how video game artists will include the character of Noah Diaz in their develop of future video games. https://transformers.fandom.com/wiki/Noah_Diaz?file=Rise_of_the_Beasts_Noah_Diaz.jpg https://www.deviantart.com/joe10kmiller/art/Noah-Diaz-969396571 |
