RE: Kirby - Kitsu - 03-15-2009 You could at least edit your post so that it's on topic. RE: Kirby - SK8xp3rt - 03-15-2009 what are you talkin about? Well lets just have a vote to see which kirby is better drshnaps? or the Kirby for the project if drshnaps is good, we should ask him to make a better version that's in THE style RE: Kirby - D2S-Speed - 03-15-2009 (03-12-2009, 11:32 PM)Sploder Wrote: No, I meant to ask for which one sucked. I'm guessing that the one you posted is the one you like, so one of these ones must be the one you think sucks: to me the one on the left looks great RE: Kirby - tsr moderation staff - 03-16-2009 I like the left one except it needs more contrast. RE: Kirby - TPoe - 03-17-2009 I don't think Drshnaps's kirby was even made for the project. RE: Kirby - SK8xp3rt - 03-17-2009 For this project? RE: Kirby - Jermungandr - 03-23-2009 Someone directed my attention to this topic so please don't yell at me for being a late poster or anything. Anyways, explainations; That Kirby was originally made for the Smash Project, but it was started very early on and the overall style of the project has undergone a lot of changes since then. I guess I can try my hand at making some in the most recent style. I was intending on making some Kirby Brawl sprites anyways, although it wasn't going to be this style. I was under the impression that someone else already had dibs on it. RE: Kirby - tsr moderation staff - 03-23-2009 I did a small edit earlier. I dunno RE: Kirby - Jermungandr - 03-23-2009 I actually think the other one matches the style better. It's only major flaws are in the coloration (too red) and the shading on the feet is too shallow, and the eyes could use a bit of a tweak as well. Here's an edit that I whipped up real quick: Aww, wook at his adowable widdle face. RE: Kirby - tsr moderation staff - 03-23-2009 Everything about it looks nicer but... I dont know. Something doesn't fit. I think it needs a bit of selout or something. RE: Kirby - Jermungandr - 03-23-2009 Selout? I'm not familiar with that term, you'll have to tell me what you mean by that. Here's another quick edit with a tweaked outline if it helps at all: And with that, I'm off to bed. RE: Kirby - Bane84 - 03-23-2009 Actually, I was able to adapt an SSBB styled character for Kirby using the older sprite set. Certain moves, like the dash attack, had to be customed though. I'm wondering if I should perform a sprite update when/if a new SSBB sheet for Kirby is completed (with due permission, of course). RE: Kirby - Kitsu - 03-23-2009 @Drshnaps, the biggest problem with yours is the eyes. The AA on the eyes end up looking more like eyeshadow or something. It also makes the eyes appear larger than they should be. In fact, that's pretty much the only thing I had changed on that recent Kirby. Also, selout = selective outlining. RE: Kirby - Caboose - 03-23-2009 I don't know about you guys but I think the kirby from Superstar Ultra would work for me it does at least. RE: Kirby - Alpha Six - 03-23-2009 Your opinion is invalid, for you know nothing about matching sprite styles. |
