RE: Punch-Out!! WII - tsr moderation staff - 03-26-2009 Oh wow. I just played Punch Out for the first time. I am now infinitely more stoked for this game. RE: Punch-Out!! WII - evildevil - 03-28-2009 Things I've learned by studying videos of gameplay from the GDC: Doc still offers his words of wisdom between battles. King Hippo still can only be KO'd. Except, this time, he might be down after two: In this video, he loses his crown first. Like in Super Punch-Out, it's possible to regain some health, as witnessed near the beginning of this video. This game looks way more awesome than I expected! I especially like Disco Kid =3 RE: Punch-Out!! WII - evildevil - 03-28-2009 You forgot one key word in your search: GDC. And I agree about Disco Kid. Heck, I actually shed a few tears of joy when watching some of his videos. Over 15 years without a new Punch-Out. My excitement is starting to reach Brawl proportions. RE: Punch-Out!! Also, Balance Board support confirmed for Punch-Out. RE: Punch-Out!! (Though realisitcally, what can?) *updated first post* RE: Punch-Out!! WII - Koopaul - 03-29-2009 Wha-? How can anyone say that about Brawl? Except those annoying Tourney folk. Anyway, Punch-Out is looking stellar. I've seen some gameplay footage, the cutscenes in between fights look like total meme-makers. Doc: "Can I get you a chocolate bar? Ha ha ha!" RE: Punch-Out!! WII - Nater - 03-30-2009 looks like it's gonna be a radical game. RE: Punch-Out!! WII - evildevil - 04-01-2009 Here's a new interview about the game. They call it a "puzzle game", which makes me confident. And the Bruiser Brothers are not in the game. http://gameinformer.com/News/Story/200903/N09.0331.1442.14433.htm Also, Amazon.com is selling a promotional package. RE: Punch-Out!! Because Brawl could've, would've and should've been allot better then Melee and Sakurai had to fuck up everything for brawl Also I really hope that they added in some one from Super Punch Out RE: Punch-Out!! You tournament people! Not hardcore enough? RE: Punch-Out!! WII - DioShiba - 04-01-2009 (04-01-2009, 09:47 AM)koopaul Wrote: Bwahaha! You tournament people! Not hardcore enough? Blinded by nostalgia, aren't you? RE: Punch-Out!! WII - Koopaul - 04-01-2009 Heheheh... The only reason why people prefer Melee is because they miss their wave dashing. I prefer a more balanced, simple and fun game. They made the game a lot easier, while still proposing a challenge, which is always a good thing. I want Puch-Out to be like that. Simple to handle, yet challenging. I don't want to have to worry about taping to control stick 1.5 seconds to the ratio of blah blah blah... But hey you like what you like and I'll like what I like. RE: Punch-Out!! WII - Alpha Six - 04-01-2009 It's not even the wavedashing thing. I never used that. I just... don't feel like I got "everything" I could have gotten with Brawl, y'know ? I came into the game expecting so much more than I got. I stopped playing Brawl about a month after buying it, but when I bought Melee I was playing every day for quite a while. and random slipping is really really really fucking annoying |
