shut the fuck up
Critisism? What the hell does this have to do with me liking critisism? I was just saying, stop drowing him in what "you want". No one cares what you want. If you want it so bad then go do something about it.
I was going to ignore this but I'm tired of people trying to act all bad over the internet. For me it's not an act, I get people straight to their faces. I don't do all this "fake" junk that you're trying to pull.

pffft what
I'm not being fake or anything
you're just being a distinguished gentleman for no reason

go on ANY other Smash Bros project on here and everyone will say the same thing

there's too much sprite mixing, and NOBODY ever finishes them. Seriously, show me ONE example of a FINISHED SSBB fangame WITHOUT SPRITE MIXING and I'll take it back.

but really, you want me to give him SERIOUS crits? Fine.
I don't have access to my flash cart or any DS emulators atm so I can't judge the gameplay. But judging by the screens, the game looks okay for beta stages. There is a lot of sprite mixing, which is something that you should NEVER do. You need to create custom sprites all in a unified style to make your game look better and more appealing. Also, I HIGHLY reccommend NOT including fanmade characters in this game. I dont see any judging by your sceenshots, but you are including 3rd party characters so you'll need to make some decisions on how they should play. But seriously though, the sprite style clashing looks really bad. You should probably fix that first, because everybody will most likely be different sizes and stuff in their new sprites, requiring you to reprogram their dimensions and import new art, etc.

Thanks for the serious crit
yes, we are on a beta stage, we won't include any fanmade character ever no problems in that regard... but yes... 3rd party chars are going to be in...

After noticing it seems style clashing is apparently the biggest mistake so far, I'll see what I can do

Now Clash has started sprites in a more M&L 3 style....
So no worries there

RE: Super Smash Bros. Clash [Moved] - Vipershark - 04-07-2009

I finally got my flashcart back and was able to test it out.
This is in extreme alpha phase. There is no sound.

Ingame Controls:
Up: Makes your character jump. Double jump works.
Left: Makes your character run to the left. Double-tapping to move faster doesn't work.
Right: Same as left.
Down: Nothing.
A: Nothing. When playing as Megaman, it causes an odd glitch that makes it so you can't move without exiting to the menu and reloading.
B: Nothing.
X: Jump. Same as up.
Y: Same as X.
L: Nothing
R: Nothing
Start: Nothing
Select: Exit to menu.

This actually has potential. I hope you actually finish it.

You won't see a unmixed Smash bors game unless some the spriters here stop bitching and start helping. Only you can pervent sprite mixing.

Well excuse us for not being able to help out before we see a specific style the creator wants us to sprite trying to get some credit at least

Also as fourth the controls, I might suggest this layout (Excluding D-pad because those would be obvious)

Quote:A: Basic Attack
B: Special attack
X: Jump
Y: Grab
L: shield
R: shield
Start: pause
Select: nothing

Well, I'm going to reply off-topic to what everyone else is saying, but I like the sprites.

Actually, if you jump, he goes out of it.
But then you still have to reset the whole thing...

RE: Super Smash Bros. Clash [Moved] - Vipershark - 04-13-2009

No. If you jump, he can "move" (or rather, get out of the glitch pose) put pressing left and right still do nothing.

RE: Super Smash Bros. Clash [Moved] - Vipershark - 04-15-2009

oh man look at this character list
http://clashds.netii.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=66&sid=153495b70c6c72528194f173757f78ee&start=0
It appears to be at least 50 characters with some anime characters and BEAT FROM JSR.
yeah, I don't have much hope for this anymore

now it looks like super smash flash 2 plus DS ):

RE: Super Smash Bros. Clash [Moved] - Woppet* - 04-15-2009

With all those characters i can see why he didnt want a matching style.

My advice:

Make the character list much smaller,

Get a matching style.

i'll try this game out when my flash card turns up.

Beat would be awesome in a fighting game.

Just not this one. Nowhere near 'street' enough.
