Hey this looks alright, what are people ragging about.
For a game, it's fine. Small dude is very apt for games.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - GrooveMan.exe - 06-05-2009

It's a ninja fox.

Hey look, I can cross bland RPG professions with oriental-centric symbolic animals too!

Samurai Tanuki!
Druid Tiger!
Paladin Dragon~!

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 06-05-2009

Yeah and?
It looks alright to me.

I don't really see the problem with that if the story is fixed.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - GrooveMan.exe - 06-05-2009

And you could do so much more with it. It's a complaint about the concept more than the drawing itself. And considering it's meant to be used in a story, it seems worth the effort to make it something that isn't so painfully bland.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - Saijee - 06-05-2009

so wait.... You think he looks fine, but are complaining because the idea that he is a officer?

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - triptych - 06-05-2009

kind of

if you were aiming for a ninja fox, you did fine

if you were aiming for an officer, you're way off.
Quote:An officer? Officers in armies don't need to carry around weaponry to prove their point, they've got experience and rank on their side, which if an army is any good, they don't need to prove their officers anymore than they've already had to.

So, yeah, I see Ninja Fox too. Give him a stance of more prestigious definition, not boring, but something that says "Yes, I could kick your ass, but I don't need to to prove myself."
quoting because you seem to be ignoring this

one more thing too
Quote:I'm not going to argue with you.
no one here is trying to argue with you, they're trying to get it into your head that you're combining two completely different things (a flamboyant stance and the status of a general) and failing horribly while doing it.

scars don't show through fur either.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - Zee - 06-05-2009

Scar tissue wouldn't grow hair therefore there would be a noticeable difference. It just wouldn't look like a scar, but more like a bald spot or bald line.

That or the fur's short. That's not really the argument here though.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - Saijee - 06-05-2009

"the argue" thing was aimed at vipershark.

I know no body wants to argue with me, I learned that in February.

Also that's not his real stance, it's just so that I can visualize the concept of what he looks like from an angle without making it boring.

About the scar, it's probably not going to be there because it was just a mistake that I accidentally drew on the small one when my hand slipped, I tried to erase it but it was too dark, so I made lemonade out of lemons.

Also his name is also probebly just a marker, which is actually not based off of any Japanese slang, it was just an enhanced version of the combination of "ech board" (Uhh I can't spell it... it's some kind of board that you cut into to make something which you would print out) and "rain stick" (Echstick), I call him that now because I don't want to call him something like "sword fox"

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - GrooveMan.exe - 06-05-2009

...Etch. As in Etch-a-Sketch. As in 'Etching one's name'. As in retaking grade 4 English.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - Saijee - 06-05-2009

I don't think so, I don't know, but I don't care. Besides what does it matter to the topic?

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - Zee - 06-05-2009

It matters because you offered something more than just a picture to us and as such we're picking it apart for flaws.

Seriously, are you paying attention to what I said before, or do I have to bring it up in your Game Design topic.

RE: [Drawing] Echidi Ku the transforming hixu - Saijee - 06-05-2009

No that's not what I meant, I was just saying that Groovs remark about my terrible English was unnecessary and does not have anything to do with the topic.

Yes I am paying attention, basically your all saying that he should have a less fancy stance.
