RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - Zac - 06-14-2009 I could do better and makeup and costume design in like 45 minutes. RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - Omegajak - 06-14-2009 In all honesty if you want to put a big enough budget into something it can and will pan out. Think of Lord of the Rings, if we can make three epics like that making a real life Legend of Zelda would be all too easy. I think the real problem though is money and expectations. Expectations: It will never be as good as you want it to be, best never let it be made to stop the hate. Then again if someone fails then someone can try again and be better. Batman comes to mind in this sense. Sidenote: Hellboy's costume and design? Yeah him and that fish dude totally beta Zora and Goron both doable, very doable. Money: If a film become a hit the next film better be so awesome your socks are literally rocked off. Or at least meet the peer of the last film. To do this the budget would have to be huge the surveys and reasearch teams alone would seem insurmountable. Nintendo would have to put their name on that no Zelda ever bombs and if they do make a movie it CANNOT bomb if it does we won't see Link&co for AWHILE to forget the film. (Or get a game so good we won't care the movie sucked.) Conclusion: Zelda is doable, this fanmade version is good but I prefer the April fools day one better. Of course this is just my 2 cents as an Multimedia Art student. RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - Cobalt Blue - 06-15-2009 your best move would actually make a short, show it to Nintendo and get their support and funds to excel it to the max. same way Sam Raimi did with his Evil Dead series. and it proved to work. RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - OSM - 06-15-2009 are you fucking kidding me wow this looks like shit RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - Kosheh - 06-16-2009 yeah, I showed this to my girlfriend; she thought it was hilariously bad. She said it looked like a bunch of roleplaying cosplayers. I was shocked that she even knew what cosplayers were. :0 I wouldn't mind seeing it if the effects weren't so corny like the obvious green-screening when Link is riding on Epona RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - Black Boo - 06-16-2009 The costumes and actor choice were bleh, but plotwise it might be good. Though Ocarina would have been a very hard movie to do with all of its concepts. Perhaps if they had done something much more simple, such as Oracle of Ages or Phantom Hourglass, it may have turned out better. Scratch Phantom Hourglass. That would only work in CGI. The Oracle games, perhaps with a bit of plot tweaking, would be perfect for movies. Minish Cap, perhaps, Ocarina, well, it's been done, but that's pretty much it. Oh yeah, Twilight Princess maybe if they CGI'd or managed to train a real wolf. RE: Hero of Time (let's try this again) - Cobalt Blue - 06-16-2009 but you know, its a movie about ocarina of time.
