If a developer wants to make a game for another system they think best suited for the sake of direction and success of the franchise, more power to them I suppose.
I wouldn't call out the Wii for the use of motion sensing though, considering it's pretty clear games can be made using more traditional controls. The hardware constraints on the other hand...
