I got bored of making generic balanced awesome cometetive teams.
So i gave up on that and made the most kick ass ice team ever
Abomasnow - for the hail, unfortunate that he's completely useless otherwise

Mamoswine
Starmie - provides a reasonable counter to most of ice's weaknesses without completely ruining the theme

Pikachu - Base 90 Speed
Aerodactyl - Base 130 Speed
Your Pikachu doesn't have a hope in hell of beating my Aerodactyl. With life orb, adamant, a 31 IV in Atk and 252 EVs in Atk.
No, haha, just no. Your only chance to take even one hit is a focus sash. But then, pfft, you've already resigned the rat to a single-shot, last-ditch effort.

i don't pay much attention to getting a good team as much as getting everyone in the pokedex, but i do remember one pokemon way back on Blue:
Squirtle: LVL 1096 (glitch in the game), and yes it will go to LVL 100 if i gain any experience at all, so i can't use it in the game without losing 996 levels :/

Yeah, just a random team pretty much. Pokemon I like got preference over competitive shit. But hey, it's worked more often than not.

For the first one of those 2040, an Infernape paired with a Gengar would obliterate your team.
The second one can be taken down by a Metagros with Grass Knot, Hammer Arm, HP Ice and Explosion.

And even then, it's all well and good to say "X pokemon will rip through that team" but you know, unless the opposition actually has those pokemon...

The idea of the team was to make one that is mostly borderline or below. Ninjask was the only one at the time of original making that broke that.
And for those unprepared (Surprisingly, it has worked a number of times) Ninjask + Substitute has worked surprisingly well if I get a Swords Dance off at any time. Pass to Hitmonchan and he has sweeped quite often.

Oh finally I found a more accurate way of checking IVs. Simply take your newborn pokemon, then load them into a PBR team, go to free battle, set to level 50 all, and then enter those stats in, and you'll have the IVs perfectly. Awesome, this saves me time with my chain-breeding.

I've never really understood the importance of IVs. You go through 50+ eggs trying to get the right nature and ability and then you dump it because of bad IVs? It's just not worth the few extra stat points, really. At least not to me. :/
