RE: Porky - Ton - 08-31-2009

Well, I'm trying to get it to look like the official sprite's joint. You can see it on the official sprite.

Trying to redo the shapes of the joints. Ughhh.

Far right is the newest one. Not sure if I like it.

RE: Porky - tsr moderation staff - 09-01-2009

yes but you want it to look more like smash than the original game (don't say anything about joe), use less saturation and more hue shifting.

A,B, or C?

RE: Porky - A.J. Nitro - 09-01-2009

I'm liking A.

Personally, I liked C. It showed the "layers" better. I played with that and did the one surrounded by purple. I think it looks good. For a more in-line-with-the-project sprite I did the one to the left of Claus. What do you think?

RE: Porky - A.J. Nitro - 09-03-2009

That one next to Porky and Claus looks even better.

RE: Porky - Ton - 09-03-2009

You think so? I'm starting to like the outlines. It makes them pop a bit.

RE: Porky - A.J. Nitro - 09-04-2009

Is that thing around the leg supposed to be spinning?

RE: Porky - Ton - 09-04-2009

No, it's supposed to be pivoting. It's the leg joint. Needs work, I know.

RE: Porky - -Dark- - 09-06-2009

The animation's decent, but it's probably going to need some transition frames for smoothness.

RE: Porky - Ton - 09-06-2009

Yeah, I suck at smoothness.

RE: Porky - -Dark- - 09-06-2009

That metal slug topic in SD has some really smooth machine animations. I know it's a bit different but if I were having trouble with making smooth animations I would probably study some of those.
