Hey guys, check the first post for the new discussion topic.

RE: General Crap Topic - Ton - 11-08-2009

I thought we discussed Adventure Mode elsewhere?

RE: General Crap Topic - Ninspriterx - 11-08-2009

Well what's a good topic to focus on then?

RE: General Crap Topic - Wes - 11-08-2009

In Classic Mode, there has to be a Race to the Finish. Also, Board the Platforms should return. I also think there should be individual Break the Targets as opposed to just 5 shared with everyone.

RE: General Crap Topic - Zern0 - 11-08-2009

2-3 individual Break the Targets and 2-3 with everyone?

RE: General Crap Topic - GaryCXJk - 11-08-2009

Wait, since when did we decide on Super Smash Bros. +, a fairly mediocre name, if not pretty much shitty, not to mention it sound very much like something you would call a hack of the original Super Smash Bros., which this game wouldn't even closely resemble?

RE: General Crap Topic - Kitsu - 11-08-2009

If we plan on doing a story mode, I had an idea of making Master Hand sort of a Christ-like figure who creates the World sort of as entertainment (and he enjoys combat with his creations...), while Crazy Hand is either a weird alter ego, or an entirely separate entity that's similar to common depictions of Satan. The general idea of the plot was that Master Hand mysteriously disappeared and Crazy Hand is now in control, and the characters of the World have to find out why everything is getting messed up. It included everything from a boss that was a weird combination of Mother Brain and Peach (or a combo of Bowser and Ridley), some sort of avatar for Master Hand as either an NPC or some random extra character, and a bunch of strange events that actually included the individual universes from each game series. It didn't really get much farther than that, though.

I'm not suggesting any sort of religious messages or anything, it's just that the mythical story of the hero is so universal and seems to be one of the oldest tales out there. It's not cliched; rather, it works.

RE: General Crap Topic - Sol - 11-08-2009

Super Smash Bros. Clash
Super Smash Bros. Rumble
Super Smash Bros. Riot

Those are my personal three favorites out of the list of synonyms. If we're not going with a synonym for "fight" for the title, maybe:

Super Smash Bros. Forever?

I think it fits, because by making this game we're continuing Smash Bros., even if Nintendo doesn't plan to, plus, if the game does end up having downloadable content, it would emphasize how the game experience would "keep going." It gets the same message across as +, but is a bit more eloquent, if you don't mind me saying so, haha.

Edit: Duke Nukem Forever jokes, calling it now.
