Well, usually with museums, either the creator gives them permission, or the creator is dead and can't do shit about it.

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Zemious - 11-15-2009

Where as the creator may be dead and can't do anything about it, none of the Japanese people who made this art knows about this site. So that sort of counts, right?

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Devicho - 11-15-2009

Not exactly, because who knows, they could find this site, just like we could potentially find where these came from.

Listen here. WRONG FORUM. You placed it in the wrong forum.

I'll just pretend you didn't, anyway:

I don't get what's funny about the last image.

I take it. You never played. Final Fantasy V?

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Ultimecia - 11-15-2009

I think there are image posting threads in spamhaul for this end, but it's not because you don't understand the language you can just grab the sprites, you know.
Anyway, I'm not sure but you didn't left because people started to criticize you and you couldn't take it? I was surprise when you decided to show up again.

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Zemious - 11-15-2009

I come and go as I please. This forum criticizes everyone, I honestly don't care. The sprite I did of Emerald Weapon and was used in a FFVI rom hack that almost five thousand people seem to enjoy. That must go to show that 90% spriters are just nit picks unlike a normal person who doesn't see the little details.

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Ultimecia - 11-15-2009

That's nice Genki ^_^ 5 thousands downloads or 5 thousand happy customers? :o Hard to know.
So if you don't care about critic, why care about posting it? The sprite discussion is a place where you can improve your sprites, sometimes a little idea can increase the overall quality of the sprite, not only to people to praise on how OH-SO-DAMN-GOOD spriter you are. There are even professionals here, you could use this to improve yourself, there's always room to improvement to everybody. But if you can't take critique, no matter if it's constructive or just annoying, then I really don't recommend you posting at any forums at all, sorry.

While I admit that the last image is funny because I've played FFV, and I understand who Gilgamesh is, don't you think it's a bit silly you're being so aggressive about this? The Sprite Discussion board isn't a board for discussing sprites in general, it's where you post YOUR work and it is critiqued, and you learn to grow as a sprite artist.

You probably could take these to a different subforum in the general discussion forums and just be like "Hey! Look at how cool these are!" and nobody would have given you any flack about it. But not in Sprite Discussion. I'm not even trying to say that you are going about looking for credit for these things, because the first post (which wasn't edited at the time of me writing, who knows how many more posts will be there when I finish) made it rather clear you didn't make them. But for that reason they don't belong here.

Seems like it might have been just an honest mistake, assuming the subforum was just discussing sprites in general... but one more look at the thread, and you start foaming at the mouth like a mad dog. You live for this, that's very clear.

zeemis tried to be awesome and expected to be praised for his find. yet he was not.

can we close this thread now please?

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Ultimecia - 11-16-2009

I'd ask for a lock and ban, but I'm not sure if he'd understand the point

RE: Final Fantasy Sprites (Image Heavy) - Cobalt Blue - 11-16-2009

why do you bother, he's just acting like an idiot to get banned anyway. not like is the first time he acts like this because no one praised him on sight.

Damage is done, oh well. At least someone seems to understand.
Tonberry2k is viewing it now, guess it's time for the ban.

See ya guys. :s

Understand that you live for it, or understand your plight? Because you shouldn't be having a plight, you drop off the deep end pretty fast.
