RE: Ripping Questions - Carpaccio - 09-24-2009 Hello folks. Recently I've taken interest in a PSP game and so desire to rip from it. Unfortunately I have no clue how to do it, be it through screenshots, or tile-ripping. I personally prefer tile-ripping, but the damn things are so often compressed. As well all know, there is no working PSP emulator that plays commercial games, be them ISO or CSO. Now, I am needing help. What I need is someone to instruct me on how to rip from PSP games in any way possible. The game I'm trying to rip from is Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary Edition. In particular what I'm trying to rip are the player class sprites. Now, I can progress through the game just fine myself and such but the ripping is the problem. For one I have a PSP which has no custom firmware on it, it's a simple, typical, fat style PSP and I have little knowledge of how to alter them. If someone can inform me on how to rip from this game I will be willing to offer a reward of some sort, be it sprites or monetary. Please help in any way you can, and thanks for taking the time to read this. RE: Ripping Questions - Vipershark - 09-24-2009 Pretty sure JCPSP is a working PSP emulator. RE: Ripping Questions - Carpaccio - 09-25-2009 I can't seem to get Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition to play on that emulator. Perhaps someone could educate me on how to properly use it. RE: Ripping Questions - Ultimecia - 09-25-2009 Never seem one PSP emulator working for real. I can take screenshots directly from the PSP, but ever managed to get the emulator working (never really tried, I guess) RE: Ripping Questions - KoA - 09-25-2009 If you had custom firmware installed, you could use PSPLink and play your PSP directly from your computer screen. It requires a PSP to do, but it functions pretty much the same as an emulator. RE: Ripping Questions - Carpaccio - 09-25-2009 If you'd be kind enough to educate me on how to operate this thing in simplest terms, I'd probably be able to do so. I'm not a programmer, so I know nothing about specifics, I do know how to connect via wireless though...I think. Also, due to a certain "friend" borrowing my game and not having given it back (Probably lost it) I've had to resort to my backup CSO of the game. Unfortunately even though I have a Pandora battery I have no idea how to switch to custom firmware to enable the playing of CSO's. I need someone willing to help me so I can rip these extravagant sprites. RE: Ripping Questions - Sengir - 10-18-2009 Just a quick question: Is it at all possible to rip meshes from the N64? If so (which I doubt) how would I go about doing it? However, you could find a way to rip the model file and convert it into a more usable type. This could then be imported into a viewer or 3d modeling program for different uses, such as using it as reference for drawing/spriting, or for editing/animation/various other things. RE: Ripping Questions - Jdaster64 - 10-21-2009 I would like to (eventually) rip from Rhythm Heaven, and wonder which DS emulator would be the best to use to do so? RE: Ripping Questions - Stooben - 10-21-2009 NO$GBA is your best bet. There's a download for it in the first post of this topic. RE: Ripping Questions - Jdaster64 - 10-21-2009 Thanks for your prompt response, I'll give it a whack. Let's hope I have better luck than with my disastrous attempts at M&L: PiT... RE: Ripping Questions - Stooben - 10-21-2009 You're welcome. I wish you the best of luck.
