RE: Errors - Tcll - 12-18-2014 oh yea, I got lost in the responce, it's not just any 1 addon as I've disabled all adblocks and nothing, and then disabled each of the others and still nothing. I honestly believe the issue is caused because lijit is blocked I'm suspicious about GA, though I doubt it >_> also, when I said about HTML5, forget that I wasn't thinking about my incognito session... heh EDIT: I have an idea for a fix, and it doesn't require testing for an ad blocker just check if lijit failed to load EDIT2: huh, interesting, this new page isn't doing it... looks like my suspicions about animated GIF images may be correct >.> RE: Errors - Vipershark - 12-18-2014 I don't think the issue is due to blocking lijit, or rather, I don't think there's anything we can do if that is the case. I use NoScript (on Firefox) and if I block lijit both with NoScript and AdBlock, the site functions as intended. Your issue is either Chrome['s addons] (which is likely because its blockers aren't as good as FF's in my experience...) or there's some other system-specific problem that you're having. RE: Errors - Tcll - 12-18-2014 wait a minute... does this site have any web accelerator scripts on it?? the dark gradient BG where the "Post Reply" and "Preview Post" buttons look lowered in quality. I've played around with Opera's web accelerator which did something quite similar. that might be the issue. I'm not sure if that might also be client-sided, but I don't believe I have any acceleration >.> EDIT: nope, just tried this page on my laptop I have no display issues there... so it might be Compton... but why is it JUST this site >.> wierd EDIT2: I'd like to appologize for all the trouble I figured it was the site because for some reason it's only this site that's affected. I didn't mean to break out in a huge rant about malicious content and such... that's just a bad area to go to with me... heh (for future reference so is any Windows OS above XP) hey, can't beat that I'm a good bug reporter I'm just reporting the bug in the wrong area =3= so it's chrome clashing with compton. I'm not switching from compton though as the main reason I got it was to have a GL 3D desktop http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2256821&p=13188849#post13188849 again, sorry for all the trouble RE: Errors - Dazz - 12-19-2014 You're an awful bug reporter if you suggest a fix that isn't going to benefit anybody but yourself. The best fix to any bug related to an addon is to stop using that addon. Clear and simple. RE: Errors - Tcll - 12-19-2014 but it wouldn't just benefit me, it'd benefit everyone using it. (compton in particular) like I said, I just reported the bug in the wrong area. again, this site is the only site that acts up for me... I can only guess it's because of the new HTML5 standards. (I visit about 40 different sites regularly, so you can see why I thought it was something here) also, I gave another go with incognito mode on a gif-heavy page, and sure enough I get the issue there too. (wich only validates compton as the cause) looks like HTML5 likes to clash with OpenGL... heh RE: Errors - Vipershark - 12-19-2014 I'll be honest; I'd never even heard of Compton until you brought it up yesterday so the amount of people having your specific issue is relatively miniscule when compared to the wider userbase, even when just compared to the small percentage of users that are on Linux. Considering that you have a workaround for it (just not use the addon for a while or try a different browser), the chances of anything being done about the issue is basically zero. There's no point in spending the time/energy in trying to fix a bug that we didn't cause and that (at least from what we've seen so far) only one person out of the thousands of users we get every day has experienced, particularly when you have ways of avoiding that bug. I appreciate the report I suppose, but I doubt that anything will be done about it. RE: Errors - Tcll - 12-19-2014 actually, the addons used wasn't any issue at all as the display issue happened w/o any addons. and compton is the replacement for compiz which from what I hear is pretty widely used. >.> anyways, the issue's over, this place wasn't the souce of it, so can we please move on with life. again, I only thought it was here cause this was the only place I've ever had this issue on. (normally it's usually a website if you don't get issues anywhere else) ^but this isn't a normal case, it's Chrome's HTML5 clashing with Compton... bleh and again, sorry for all the stress earlier. RE: Errors - daemoth - 12-25-2014 In Lufia 2 Snes, http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12367/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12370/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12368/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12371/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12372/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12373/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/12369/ can all be deleted since they are all included in http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/lufia2/sheet/59942/ In Zelda Lttp, Snes, http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7593/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7594/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7590/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7591/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7592/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7595/ can all be deleted since they are all included in http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/59984/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7650/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7651/ can be deleted since they are included in http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/legendofzeldaalinktothepast/sheet/7640/ In Ogre Battle MotBQ Snes, Noticed some gray lines on 2 of my icons, here are the fixes: Angel Classes( http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/ogrebattlethemarchoftheblackqueen/sheet/58684/) : New angel Icon Endora Queen Classes ( http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/ogrebattlethemarchoftheblackqueen/sheet/58675/) : New Queen Icon RE: Errors - puggsoy - 12-26-2014 Done all of them, except for deleting BG Kit 2 and 3 from ALttP. This is because they both contain some sprites that BG Kit 1 doesn't, such as the rupees and big chests in 1 and the cave entrance in 2. If these are in other sheets please link to them, otherwise they shouldn't be deleted. By the way, in the future you can use the new revision feature to replace icons. RE: The new SJB Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 12-27-2014 Unsure if this is the place to discuss stuff regarding the Sounds resource, but there are a few NES games with sounds submitted by J-Sinn that could use better titles. For example: Chikichiki Machine Mou Race -> Wacky Races China Rabbit Baby (Pirate) -> Mickey Mania 7/China Rabbit Baby (Pirate) Chevaliers Du Zodiaque, Les - La Legende D'or -> Saint Seiya RE: Errors - Petie - 12-27-2014 (12-27-2014, 01:43 PM)Superjustinbros Wrote: Unsure if this is the place to discuss stuff regarding the Sounds resource, but there are a few NES games with sounds submitted by J-Sinn that could use better titles. I can't directly edit these at the moment since I'm not home but the revisions system is in place for exactly these kinds of changes so feel free to submit them directly and someone will take care of them. Thanks! RE: Errors - puggsoy - 12-27-2014 Went ahead and changed these anyway, but yeah use the revision system for any future name changes. RE: Errors - Superjustinbros - 12-28-2014 The reversion system is in place, but it can only modify sheets and what game the sheet is for; not the games' titles and icons themselves. In the situation where a [Revise] button would be present in the window showing the details of a sheet, there's none in the details of a game. RE: Errors - Petie - 12-28-2014 I misread your original post. There is no revisions system for games, just the actual content beneath them. In this case, you definitely went with the right method. Sorry. RE: Errors - daemoth - 12-30-2014 Just added a complete sheet of the Npcs in Lufia2 Snes, i guess the whole npc section should be deleted and the section "Playable Characters" should be renamed "Character" ? |
