RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Magma MK-II - 07-30-2012 Armed Police Batrider: Raizing's games tiles are HUGE, and a big mess! Just to make something as small as this took me some good time. I guess Cave's games are just as tough to get something out of the tiles. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Garamonde - 07-30-2012 Got them. Also Ton, don't upload ANYTHING, I'm on an ultimate uploading spree. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Yawackhary - 07-31-2012 More: B.Rap Boys (Arcade) Enemies and Bosses Update: Out of curiosity, after ripping the first enemy I checked out B.Rap Boys Special and noticed that there was an extra sprite that is not in the other ROM set so it was updated. I don't know how to class the game, it's not like Street Fighter II where the graphics and palettes are altered per version and from looking at the ROMS, B.Rap Boys is the World version while Special was only released in Japan and the US. Who knows, maybe the "World" version is a pre-release or something. Since I couldn't find much info, here are the differences between B.Rap Boys and the Special version: * There are 3 extra enemies replacing some of the palette swaps, they are Japanese themed such as Kabuki * On the first stage, you jump over logs and you hit a car revealing the Final Boss. * A different background on the character select, this is the only way apart from playing the game to tell the difference since the title screen is the same. Honestly. * The basic enemies have 1 extra pose compared to the other version. * Instead of having 3 lives, you have 6 lives however the game is still cheap. As for what is the same; the stages are the same, the music is the same, the gameplay and most of the graphics are same (apart from what is mentioned) and even the tileviewer is in mostly the same (still has unused graphics like the original) at the same places except the 3 new sprites of the enemies mixed in as well as the new stuff being below the existing graphics. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Garamonde - 07-31-2012 Got 'em. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Magma MK-II - 08-01-2012 Sagaia (Game Boy): RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Yawackhary - 08-02-2012 B.Rap Boys (Arcade) Enemies and Bosses Before anyone asks, Max's sprites are like that in the tileviewer and in the ROM (they are exactly the same). Oh and I checked the ROM to see if it can be ripped and strangely enough I can using TileMolester since it uses Mega Drive/Genesis/Sharp X68000 format (4bbp, linear). The reason why is because there's some unused stuff however I don't know the palette (or how to look for palettes) since they aren't shown in game and in case people want to know what's unused (since I checked the game until final boss and videos just to find out that there is no ending): *Unused female enemy that resembles Blaze from Streets of Rage 2 *Unused male enemy (replaced by the final boss since he looks similar just with a different hair cut?) *Unused large mugshots for the B.Rap Boys (could it be the unused ending?) *The melon in a different palette (probably lost?) *Beta title that has rotated pieces that seems better done than the final (there are duplicates as well) *Kaneko logo rotated in various positions and scaling (might be linked to the beta title) *Namco, Taito, Atlus, Korean logos *Various poses from the B.Rap Boys, enemies and bosses but they have the correct palette (they are on the sheets) *Various fonts *Recycle message (seems to be targeted to a US version, might not be unused) RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Yawackhary - 08-04-2012 Again, sorry about the double post: B.Rap Boys (Arcade) Enemies and Bosses You can't beat a bit of Bully as they say. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie (Genesis) Enemies and Bosses There are only two enemies in the entire game with this one being the most common enemy, the rest are just bosses. Oh and the only reason why I ripped it is because Belial ripped quite a lot of the game already so basically it is just finishing off some loose ends since I wasn't into Power Rangers even when it was really popular. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Davy Jones - 08-09-2012 Pop 'n Twinbee (SNES): http://i.minus.com/i7xcllCTZsHD9.png Great graphics, great music and overall a great game. What do you want more from a shooter? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Davy Jones - 08-09-2012 Pop 'n Twinbee (SNES): http://i.minus.com/ibljwTMv41Qh6H.png This one is a lot smaller. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Davy Jones - 08-09-2012 Pop 'n Twinbee (SNES): http://i.minus.com/iF45N7GbgsAHu.png And this one is even smaller. The stage features a huge pink battleship, but I consider it as an enemy. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Yawackhary - 08-10-2012 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie (Genesis) Enemies and Bosses There's only a few bosses left until the game is done, many that only have a couple of poses. Oh and I had to use minus again since Imgur would only upload the first two sheets before giving up. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Ton - 08-10-2012 I think I've got everything to this point. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Magma MK-II - 08-11-2012 Trouble Witches (PC): RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Previous - 08-11-2012 Imgur at it's best, jpeg'ing images again, huh? A shame. Happened to me once, too, even though the file was definitely below one MiB with 900something KiB - even in MB and KB. Other than that these are really nice rips!
