RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Garamonde - 09-08-2012 @Koopaul, we could do that but most enemies appear in several areas of the game. Unless you want to, say, have Ticker on both a Spiral Mountain and a Mumbo's Mountain sheet (AKA have duplicates), then they should have their own sheets even if they end up being a bit small. @recolor I actually like Zac's sprite the best. Was there a reason we didn't use his (besides editing it to make it shorter)? Other minor things we could fix on it is add an outline to the back leg and maybe make the right (our left) arm less... IDK, jaggy? It also looks like her elbow is too far down her arm (speaking of arms rec.me the one arm on yours seems noodly and lacks a defined elbow). RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - recme - 09-08-2012 ![]() recolorme hates elbows RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Kami - 09-08-2012 Bawl's impact frame is too square, his leaves are stiff and aren't pushed by the force of bawls movements, and it seems he's missing a falling animation. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - recme - 09-08-2012 i was still working on it. i was just more focused on grunty because she was the one who looked very odd to me. bawl's animation will come soon RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Koopaul - 09-09-2012 Mighty Jetters, Ticker doesn't appear on Spiral Mountain. The only enemies who make appearances in multiple locations are: Big Butt Snacker Snippit Buzz Bomb Chinker Everyone of those (except Snacker and Snippit) reappear in Click Clock Wood. I figure just keep the enemies in the worlds that they first appeared in. Basically Snacker would be on the Treasure Trove Cove sheet but not on the Rusty Bucket Bay sheet, despite showing up in both levels. But hey its up to you guys. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - mutantyoshi - 09-09-2012 Yeah, maybe what Koopaul said would be a good idea. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Garamonde - 09-09-2012 (09-09-2012, 03:42 AM)Koopaul Wrote: Mighty Jetters, Ticker doesn't appear on Spiral Mountain. The only enemies who make appearances in multiple locations are: Oh, I meant to say Gruntilda's Lair, lol. According to the Wiki though most or at least half the enemies appear more than once. I just thought that having multiple on one sheet would slow down getting the sprites submitted, but of course I haven't done much in the project so it's probably more what you or -Bwar- think is best. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Koopaul - 09-09-2012 Oh darn I forgot that Ticker also appears in Freezeazy Peak inside the Christmas Tree. And Whiplash and Whipcrack appear all over the place! Eh I guess we should just give them their own sheets. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Kami - 09-09-2012 Why don't we just keep all the enemies organised onto one sheet? It works better and is alot easier. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Koopaul - 09-09-2012 Well that's a lot of enemies. I guess that could work. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - A.J. Nitro - 09-09-2012 Well that depends on the amount of poses each enemy has. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Garamonde - 09-09-2012 Exactly. The only other thing I can think of is dividing them into groups, like maybe aquatic enemies, flying enemies, ground enemies, etc. and the bosses would get their own sheets of course. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Koopaul - 09-09-2012 Well Ticker would just have a walking animation and death animation. Not much hm. How about this, we organize the enemies from their first appearance. Wherever they first pop up in is the sheet they call home? Because that would need to be considered into the equation. RE: Banjo-Kazooie Sprite Project! - Garamonde - 09-10-2012 Koopaul: I only used Ticker as an example, it was the first thing that came to mind. ![]() One thing is that Gruntilda's Lair has the most first-time enemies so it'd make organizing them like that rather uneven but I see you've already fitted the enemies into the areas where the theme and surroundings best match them so that's a good organization. In fact I was ready to suggest that! Now then... for some reason even though I'm working on a sprite rip I feel like working on something small for this so hopefully I'll have something new up later. ![]() MY: We'll figure out Tooie later. Right now we need to focus on the first game first. |
