RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ploaj - 11-17-2015 My Project X Zone script doesn't work too well with the sequel. Edit: Got it to work. They changed the calculations for the coordinates to basically invert everything. So uh, did they update the characters from the first game? I noticed the pieces for a handful of characters have new parts. Example Old: http://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/sheets/60/63027.png New: http://i.imgur.com/4yiJ3Pf.png The animations also have more frames. So should we update previous characters in the first game, or upload the new sheets for the old characters in the new game. I just made myself confused. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Dazz - 11-17-2015 I'd upload the new sheets for the new game, leave the old ones. It's more complete and honest that way. They seem to have just added more animations in for characters - this one added a cameo of another character in which is kind of interesting. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ploaj - 11-20-2015 Should the arranged characters be paired together on the same sheet? The game puts animations for both characters packaged together. I split them up in the first game, but it makes sense to keep them together since they go together. The problem is that the sheet ends up being much larger. http://i.imgur.com/ol1yt3P.jpg So large that imgur jpeg'd it. I could do uneven cropping or make the width of the sheet larger to even out. Splitting them is just more work for this game than the previous one, since I can't divide them based on which texture they're using. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Dazz - 11-20-2015 It's your call, whichever way you think works best. I'm sure that Imgur is just being a butt with the jpging. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - SuperTVGRFan18496 - 11-29-2015 Ripping 3DS is better than Ripping Playstation Vita RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Random Talking Bush - 11-29-2015 (11-29-2015, 12:04 PM)SuperTVGRFan18496 Wrote: Ripping 3DS is better than Ripping Playstation Vita (11-21-2015, 06:36 PM)Random Talking Bush Wrote: That's... blatantly obvious. There's been absolutely no progress in extracting files from PS4/XBOne Vita games since those consoles are that portable is currently more secure. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ton - 11-30-2015 When does Paper Jam come out? Those graphics are going to look great on the site. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Dazz - 11-30-2015 I think most of the graphics are just reused from the other 2 3DS games. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ton - 11-30-2015 I think you're right, but things like the Koopalings have all new sprites. Plus, like Project X Zone, the may have smoothed some things out. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ploaj - 11-30-2015 I hope the Paper Mario characters are animated in M&L's format so we can have some neat Paper Mario animations on the site. From the videos I've seen though, it looks like they still may be models, unfortunately. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - einstein95 - 12-02-2015 Stored in BLZ-compressed BCH models. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - einstein95 - 12-03-2015 Sorry for the double post, but here's the miiverse stamps added in the TFH update if someone wants to make them into a sheet: http://puu.sh/lI7Df/828c9f9977.7z RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ploaj - 12-03-2015 The graphics are mostly reused. But they changed the format to include the information needed to crop each little strip. Maybe it would be somewhat worthwhile to get a couple for that reason alone? http://i.imgur.com/n2Luwvd.png RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ton - 12-03-2015 That's neat. If it's easy, go for it. I think the new stuff would be what people are most excited for, though. RE: 3DS Ripping Catch-All Thread - Ploaj - 12-04-2015 I also noticed Peach had a bit of a redesign. Mario and Luigi have some new battle animations and the likes. There is a testing file showing how they changed Toad's face And I'm guessing this was unused/testing: http://i.imgur.com/btzNHi7.png There aren't a lot of non-paper characters, so I already have everything Mario and Luigi-style in sheets. |
