RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 01-27-2011 Yeah I had a similar idea with the Horned Viper. If we make a new snake it needs to be distinctive enough, having horns like that is a good idea. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-29-2011 Wouldn't the origami-based one have multiple forms? RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 01-29-2011 Well if that were the case should the Rock and Scissors Pokemon have them too? I kinda want to be fair. The reason I didn't add my legendary trio in the first post is because many people are a little confused/ not happy with those ideas. So if someone comes up with something original for a legendary trio that really... Wow! I'll certainly replace the ideas I have. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-29-2011 Each could have three forms: -Paper could have various paper-centered crafts like origami (crane, obviously), paper lantern (fire type), paper mache, papercraft, etc -Rock could have "types" instead of forms. Sedimentary type (speed, since they are mostly loose), Igneous type (crystallised rock, so maybe high sp. attack), Metamorphic type (very dense, so high defense) -Scissors could be a Swiss Knife deal. I don't know how well that would work, though. So Paper would have resistance differences between the types, Rock would have stat differences, and Scissors would have it like a screwdriver mode is strong against steel and a icepick mode is strong against ice, etc. Basically, Scissors could change what it's strong against. Or something. Hi this is me tossing ideas out there RE: TSR PokeDex Project - NICKtendo DS - 01-30-2011 Since I've been making Pokémon for a while and I saw this thread, I thought I'd contribute, so here you go. Two of the Pokémon (Jakuser & Fintom) are redesigns of Pokémon I made earlier, which can be found on CyberMaroon's dA. Bambuma was designed to be this "generation"'s Pikachu. Jakuser (Jakuzi+Geyser) Type: Water/Fire Platypus Pokémon It heats the water in its body to a temperature way beyond boiling point. However, special fluids keep the water from vaporize. Fintom (Fin+Phantom) Type: Water/Ghost Invisible Pokémon Its clear body shows its internal organs. In water, this Pokémon is practically invisible. Fishers catch them by accident. Bambuma (Bamboo+Kuma(Jap. for Bear)) Type: Electric Panda Bear Pokémon Its special jaws were made to crush bamboo. Since bamboo has very little nutrients, Bambuma must eat tons of it. Here's my shot at the fossil Pokémon. Buzzpine (Buzz saw+Spine/Spinosaurus) Type: Dark/Steel Blade Pokémon Revive Sawtooth Fossil A vicious Pokémon that roamed the land millions of years ago. It can curl up like a wheel and spin like a buzz saw, cutting through solid rock. Tryich (Ichtryosaurus) Type: Dark/Water Whirlpool Pokémon Revive Drill Fossil A brutal Pokémon that rules the seas millions of years ago. It can spin really fast like a drill, causing whirlpools. Land Pokémon evolved from Tryich. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-31-2011 Jakuser looks pretty silly, and the Panda one looks too much like Pikachu. I think the invisible fish one is a nice concept, though. And Thyich has a very Pokemon-like head. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 01-31-2011 I also want this generation's Pikachu to be a rodent. Like it always is. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Hoeloe - 02-01-2011 I like the fossils and Fintom. The other two not so much. If there is a fire/water type, then it should probably not look like that. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 02-01-2011 The Spinosaurus and Ichthyosaurus fossil ideas keep coming up. Mutantyoshi made some too. It's official, the fossil Pokemon will those ideas. Remember they are just ideas, let's keep working on finding the best design. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 02-02-2011 I think that the fossil Pokémon should be Rock type, since they always have been. I'd like to imagine there being Pokémon other than Rock type in the prehistory, though continuity won't hurt. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 02-02-2011 The reason they are always Rock type is due to genetic mutation recovering them from fossils which are basically Rocks. So yeah we're keeping them Rock type. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - NICKtendo DS - 02-03-2011 In that case: Thyich Type: Rock/Water Buzzpine Type: Rock/Dark RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Baegal - 02-04-2011 I really like the design for the fossils, but not really digging the "buzzpine" name. My only issue is the color on the water one: why is it purple? RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 02-04-2011 Remember he's not the only one who made a Spinosaurus.
