RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 02-15-2010 how can I make it less stiff with her still facing forward like how it is now? RE: Soul Eater Sprites - triptych - 02-15-2010 her upper body her arms her legs they all look like the bones in them were replaced with steel rods try actually standing like that and see how hard it is (also her face is creepy) RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 02-15-2010 ![]() any better? RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Guy - 02-15-2010 (02-15-2010, 08:23 PM)Baegal Wrote:*ahem* It's better , BUT just by a little bit, I made a 15-min edit you can compare to yours, see what needs/needed improvement on it. ![]() The things that you should fix are: -light eye underline, it should be 1 color underneath otherwise she looks like she's tired or..., in this case it isn't needed. -Her shoulders, she had virtually no shoulders...you need to lift those up just a bit. -Hair, it looked really messy, the ponytails should be brought up a bit, and smoothed/rounded around the edges -Bottom of coat, it looks pretty rigid/blocky, smooth that out also and give it more of a hang at the edges. RE: Soul Eater Sprites - triptych - 02-16-2010 yeah that's pretty much what yeah RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 02-16-2010 okay, I'll work on it RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Baegal - 02-17-2010 ![]() the one on the left RE: Soul Eater Sprites - Guy - 02-17-2010 (02-17-2010, 09:45 PM)Baegal Wrote: Better, although, near the top part of her legs, I'd suggest straightening up the left leg a bit more (move the top half of the left leg over a little more to the left, but keep the bottom half and her foot where they are) Give her one more pixel line of shading on her neck + some more shading on her left leg and arm to show a little more depth, also, trying to improve on just one sprite for so long can get kinda tiresome, If I may suggest, you should try spriting her from a side view or in a signature pose of some sort. You'll get better by working with a variety of poses, then afterwards you can come back to this one and take another go at it, a good way to see how you're improving.
