RE: Trading in 360 for ps3? - Kairos - 06-26-2010

I've had more people quit on me on Blazblue on PS3 than I ever had on 360.

Granted it could be because I've gotten better and I lose a lot less but still.

Never trade in your console. You might one day feel the need to play games other consoles don't have.

Also, Rhymey, you're largely uninformed. The Playstation blog specifically states that free content is still supported and will always be. Playstation Plus is only for those who wish to have that little bit of extra.

In fact, Playstation Plus owners don't even get that much new stuff anyway, and even if they get exclusive games, these games are only playable until your subscription ends.

those are literally the only objectively good 360 exclusives(including sequels).
everything else is either an exclusive you like because "you like that stuff" or a multiplatform game
which means if he wants to play a game that he played on his 360 again, he can buy the ps3 version

well you could always play with the whining 13 year old boys on there [/sarcasm]

But yeah, I'd keep the 360 in case something good does come up, but get the PS3 when you have the money

whining 13 year olds are on every console, you just can't hear them on the wii

personally i went with the PS3 but I'm kinda kicking myself in the butt after literally 2 weeks after buying it Microsoft reveals the 360 slim with double the hard drive and built in wifi for the same price, the big thing that turned me off from buying a 360 in the first place

But really, PS3 is all personal preference in games. I'd say PS3 is geared more towards open-world games, third-person shooters and fighters. The 360 is more suited to fans of FPS games and console-style RPGs.

It's hard because I'm equally torn between fighters and RPGs but you can't play console RPGs in co-op online with friends

PS3 doesn't have party chat which was another turnoff, but the exclusives and the not-gayness of the fighting community is what made me like the PS3.

Yeah seriously the only reason you guys have had bad experience with Blazblue is because EVERYONE PLAYS BLAZBLUE
When I played Super SF4, I played online for a few days and I loved voice-chatting with the people I played - complete strangers! Best of all, they weren't trash-talkers, they actually gave me helpful pointers on how to play my characters better.

imagine that!

then again, haven't played much else online so idk

You forgot Tales of Vesperia, the game promised to come to PS3 but still hasn't yet.

Yeah, but is that here? Are you playing as Kid from ToE right now? I'm sure not though, I want to. When they said it was getting ported I assumed that meant everywhere. Such is not the case. It's disappointing to say the least.

RE: Trading in 360 for ps3? - Alpha Six - 06-27-2010

The Tales team is going through a financial crisis right now anyway. Their fault for not bringing some of their games to the US. >:I

If you consider the arcade and some of the good XNA games then I wouldn't really say it's true that it's mostly FPS and Console RPGs.

also 3rd person shooters

It is your opinion if you want to trade 360 to PS3, but I think that PS3 is the better console, especially since it can be considered as the ultimate entertainment system at your home.
