I'm surprised and impressed that monsters that also featured in DQMJ weren't recycled for this. It's also a little different in pacing from what I initially pictured. Wight Knight is currently kicking my ass; since there's no available weapons or armour that punch holes in his battle pattern, I guess I just need to level up more. Well, chin up, after you beat him you can recruit party members at the inn. RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - GrooveMan.exe - 07-18-2010 He would be considerably easier if I could recuit party members *before* him. =I RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - FRET - 07-18-2010 Yeah. He likes to hit you twice in a row and generally be a dick. Just go level a bit and buy all the best equips you can. That's all there is to him... RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - JoshR691 - 07-18-2010 If you know anyone who plays locally, you could hook up with them, and have a Second Party Member (Kind of wish you could use Wi-Fi for this, but chances are the inevitable lag would ruin it) Well, I'm about to go into a Volcano, and almost ironically, I just bought a Fire Sword for my character (Things get so freaking expensive)...Thinking about Grinding my Party since "I'm" like 10 Levels under the rest of my Recruits (Since I switched to Paladin...) Maybe Grind for more gold as well (those Gold Golems give a little over 500 Gold), and who knows, maybe even grind some other classes for everyone else so I can play catch up RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - Omegajak - 07-18-2010 Fuuuccckkk, why is everyone enjoying this game but me? It's like 8 all over again. Well that explains a lot, I shall go and check this right now. Edit: Oh look, I can! I now feel somewhat stupid. RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - Shawn - 07-18-2010 are there any other simpsons references aside from patty and sellma working at erinns inn? RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - water dog - 07-18-2010 The battle is infinitely easier with 4 members, just make a priest and set him/her to the healing mode in the tactics section and unleash your most powerful skills/regular attacks and heal with items if you get in a bind. It's cake. :-) RE: DRAGON QUEST IX - Shawn - 07-18-2010 i cchanged my warrior to a gladiator and god damn and these fuckers strong. warrior is crap in comparison |
