RE: Stages/Levels - StarSock64 - 08-28-2010 So, it's a full on frontal view? I'm a little worried about how certain characters, like peach, would look on it. ![]() decided to be less lazy and show you what I mean. I probably didn't move it down as much as I was supposed to (by 1 pixel) oops RE: Stages/Levels - Iceman404 - 08-28-2010 No, is not. There's a reason the character's feet are spaced. Its still a WIP. I think may actually go back to step 2 again. RE: Stages/Levels - Ton - 08-28-2010 The view should be from slightly above. See the demo. RE: Stages/Levels - StarSock64 - 08-28-2010 Your comment confused me a little...what did you mean by the character's feet are spaced? The reason I thought that this might look strange is because peach's dress doesn't work at the same angle as the bg, like, it's got a little 3D top-down kind of quality to it if you get what I mean. Volume, or something. So it'd look better if either she was redone to fit or if the background had a little angular quality to it, like the playstation Mega Man X games (oh me and my mega manss) only less exaggerated or you could've meant that the bg is going to do something like that and my comment's useless idk edit: ope ton got me RE: Stages/Levels - Iceman404 - 08-28-2010 What Ton said is what I basically meant. Character's feet are spaced because the levels are supposed to be part top down view. Which I forgot to mention in the first post. I just haven't added the top down floor to the level. Does this clear things up? ![]() It's not how the stage is meant to look (Its obviously not going to really be so one sided.) But that's the Top-Down view we need. RE: Stages/Levels - D2S-Speed - 08-28-2010 It's better, but I think maybe the overhead view should show a little more of the platform! Make it like how Smith's Final Destination looks. RE: Stages/Levels - Iceman404 - 08-28-2010 Quote:(Its obviously not going to really be so one sided) RE: Stages/Levels - Kyleglor - 08-29-2010 Like brawler said it should show more of the platform (not just where you stand) so i decided to make an edit, not the best, but it does help show how the field could have more depth. ![]() RE: Stages/Levels - ThePortalGuru - 08-29-2010 (08-29-2010, 02:10 PM)Kyleglor Wrote: Liking this. I think I prefer the one on top most. RE: Stages/Levels - Kyleglor - 08-29-2010 The top one was the main edit the second one i kept as a refrence for myself. RE: Stages/Levels - mutantyoshi - 08-29-2010 Nice I like it, I think that the path that the characters walk on should also light up to tell the difference between the path and the platform itself better RE: Stages/Levels - D2S-Speed - 08-29-2010 Nice! the top one would be my choice! ![]() RE: Stages/Levels - tsr moderation staff - 08-29-2010 i think we should work some more purples and blues into this, thats kind of been the common thing in all the final destinations RE: Stages/Levels - Iceman404 - 08-29-2010 ![]() RE: Stages/Levels - Kyleglor - 08-29-2010 Im curious does it have to be blocky (Isometric like)? EDIT: No disrespect but i have to disagree with that perspective lesson |
