RE: Super Tofu Boy - SKELTON S. SKELETON - 12-05-2010 I don't know guys, for basically the whole team being a group of internet trolls, this is pretty high brow. Also, free publicity was apparently the whole game. I wonder if there's a way you could collect the data based on game sales before this happened, and afterward. Everything's okay in the interests of marketing, yeah? If anything doing it for publicity makes it even more of a dick move. RE: Super Tofu Boy - Cobalt Blue - 12-05-2010 and thats bad? RE: Super Tofu Boy - Rosencrantz - 12-05-2010 if it's not illegal, it's fair game. This is totally how the business world works, guys. RE: Super Tofu Boy - SKELTON S. Also yeah just gonna agree with Raisinbran RE: Super Tofu Boy - Chutzpar - 12-06-2010 Because legality is literally the only way to gauge if something was the right thing to do. And we should never ever question how businesses choose to conduct themselves. Of course. RE: Super Tofu Boy - Alpha Six - 12-06-2010 I thought B2K was being facetious, but whatever. RE: Super Tofu Boy - Chutzpar - 12-06-2010 I thought that too I'm most directing my venom at Kojjiro RE: Super Tofu Boy - SKELTON S. I don't think he was being facetious or saying that that's a good thing or you can excuse it. it kind of seems like he was just making an observation!! RE: Super Tofu Boy - Rökkan - 12-06-2010 The way I see the meat boy team are a bunch of little stupid pricks that just did thinking "LMAO THAT WOULD BE SOME EPIC TROLLING xD!!" and when PETA actually fell for it they thought "hehhh i'm just gonna say its part of the plan were so fucking awesome". They just act as someone in the internet would do, just exposing their opinions and acting without a second thought to them, which is really careless considering they're not someone anonymous on the internet anymore. They're a name, they're a "company" (I put company like that because I guess it's not really a company but just a small team, but still), if they don't care what others might think of them and want to do things for "epic lulz" then fine, just continue acting like the shits you are, but since you're exposing yourself, since you're representing EVERYONE involved in the team, you just might be careful about what you say, since those remarks actually might bite you sooner or later. Keep it professional and classy for fuck's sake. RE: Super Tofu Boy - ThePortalGuru - 12-06-2010 My current stance on Team Meat is this: Love the game, hate the team. Kind of like I love Russell Crowe as an actor, but hate him as a person. RE: Super Tofu Boy - SKELTON S. Keep it professional and classy for fuck's sake. The game development world isn't exactly the most professional place in the world. People are actually rewarded for having behavior like this. Ever see or hear about how David Jaffe or Cliffy 'Don't Call me Cliffy B' Blezinski conduct themselves in public? RE: Super Tofu Boy - Alpha Six - 12-06-2010 Cliffy B is a normal guy in public, but he doesn't berate other completely unrelated businesses just for game publicity. You will never hear about Cliffy B trolling people just to coerce them into giving them publicity, because he generally understands the balance between having fun and being professional-- which is why I find him a respectable person. Basically, how you act in public should not reflect into your job. Otherwise nobody would ever be able to keep a job. RE: Super Tofu Boy - SKELTON S. SKELETON - 12-06-2010 Well, not now anyway. You should have seen him when he still posted on SA I can definitely respect Cliffy B, though, but not David Jaffe, even just reading some of the things he's said that turn up on NeoGAF which I'm glad I avoid. Hell, even watching the show he was on on MTV with Cliffy B and the guy that made the sims was like watching a frat guy at an opera. RE: Super Tofu Boy - Vipershark - 12-06-2010 NeoGAF is a great forum :/ |
