The problem with the first roof is that it appears as though the back of the house is face-on, but the front portion is not. I'd lower the roof line of the left portion, or remove it completely.

RE: Feeling Pixelled - Delicious - 08-25-2012

Yea, the roof is a bit tricky and creates an illusion as well which makes it look like the the middle tower is facing left rather right. Perhaps changing the roof color slightly lighter could help? This stuff reminds me of the work I did a little while ago, which also reminds me that I need to continue doing it soon Very Sad

RE: Feeling Pixelled - Thumbtacks - 08-25-2012

Flattened the roof, I think i'm going to keep it like this because i can't get the other to look right.

This one is essentially the same as the other, just flipped.

And this one is blue. Yep.
Oh and I tried to detail the roof

Anything going horribly wrong yet?

I like it, looking forward to the game. Are you gonna make it alone? I'm actually on a train right now. Smile

RE: Feeling Pixelled - Previous - 08-31-2012

I think the grey you use as shadow for the hanging objects in the kitchen is not dark enough, creating a blur effect rather than a drop shadow.
I'm not quite sure what the darker strip next to the door is supposed to be (besides you used an unique colour for the bottom part). Is it supposed to make the door appear to be set back into the wall? Then, it may be too wide and the other side of the door shouldn't be fully visible?

RE: Feeling Pixelled - Thumbtacks - 08-31-2012

I just realized how horrendously out of scale stuff is, That a computer screen is taller than a door, and largerr than an entire oven.
Whoooops.

RE: Feeling Pixelled - Hoeloe - 09-01-2012

I wish I had a screen that big.

I don't think so, Its a CRT.

It would take like 3 guys to set it up.

Meh, details.

Speaking of details

..Grass?

RE: Sproights - Baegal - 10-05-2012

I would go for two, but make it less concentrated. Basically #1 but with sharp shadows rather than round, or some form of differentiating the top layer--it seems lacking. Try adding patches of grass around the tree maybe?

RE: Sproights - Thumbtacks - 10-06-2012

So something like this?
Also I just noticed the patches of grass against the sky is damn-near invisible, I'll get to fixing that.

RE: Sproights - Baegal - 10-07-2012

Looks cool! The only problem I see is the pattern getting repetitive as you continue it--I'd try to make the pattern longer.
